Brussels, Franklin Street, 157B (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed here for 1 night but wish I could stay longer. It's located in a quiet area but it's well connected to the public transport system. A really nice café was within 1 minute walking distance. The interior of the room was clean, modern and spacious. There were a microwave and a fridge also. The only downside is that there was no elevator in the house.
Very small hotel both in terms of size of the stairs and reception area, with large rooms, equipped with walk-in closet and bathroom with telephone available. Located in a pretty good area of Brussels. Too bad it doesn't have the possibility to offer breakfasts
Huge rooms are a plus which includes fridge, microwave and coffe and tea fascillity. A bit basic room decor. No lift. You get your moneys worth.
Excellent location, very spacious room, very friendly staff.
The only issue is the lack of elevator but the personnel helped us with the heavy suitcases. Highly recommended.
I would have given all 5 stars if I didn't have a baby and faced the stairs with a stroller and a baby in it. Otherwise, very clan, they put an extra bed for the baby and gave us a bigger room. When I told them to change the blanket they came right away and the next day they already washed and dried the one they changed. I really like the place and recommend it.
Great location, friendly staff, spacious room. It's a small hotel but clean with all the necessary amenities. Important to know that there are not lifts so if you have mobility issues, this hotel is not for you.

Service, location and staff were excellent. The only issue is overall cleanliness which needs some extra effort. Overall pleasant stay and is very convenient.
I am currently staying at this hotel. The staff is lovely and has a very good sense of service. It is so rare to have people who actually care about you. It is 23h30 and I've been asked if everything was fine and if I wanted a coffee while going out to smoke. It means a lot to me.
In addition, the room is nice, comfy and clean; you really get a lot for your money here.
Thank you so much.

A very good week-end in that place. The service was really good with a smilling staf. There is a bus station in front the hotel and a tramway station at 1min.
The family who run this very sweet hotel are kind, accommodating, and offer most everything you could want. I felt safe and I loved the balcony off of my room where I got to watch the full moon. It was so easy to get to. All the bus/metro lines stop right in front or very close by - There are also city bike rentals you can get to bike all over Brussels and you can easily either get to the city center...
Great service by all staff. Hotel entrance hidden by attached restaurant. Room was just fine for the price paid. Continental breakfast was very nice. Public transportation to downtown Brussels was working walking distance from hotel.
Hotel ok but shower did not work
The hotel was ok, but room Number 45, they seriously need to fix the shower! First only ice cold water, then maybe 5sec ok Temperature, then burning hot. Asked them to fix it but nothing happened.
Breakfast pretty basic, but for the price of 10€ the quality-price ratio was ok. They make you an omelette if you want it, did not try. Coffee 2/5 stars
Very good value indeed, and a pleasant experience: after an excellent Indian meal in the restaurant, we found the 2nd floor room - accessible by lift - fairly small, with a very wide and comfortable double bed and a spotless, well equipped bathroom. The breakfast offered a copious variety of things to eat and drink and we were welcomed by the delightful lady in attendance. We shall certainly return
Lovely host. Beautiful restaurant. Must visit

Spacious rooms, very near to city centre
The location is a bit out of the way, but the surrounding area is quiet, with old houses that are clean and hygienic.
This hotel is located near the city center and convenient for traveling around the city. The room is quite small, especially the bathroom. It looks like quite an old house. The curtain in the bathroom is a little dirty. And I also couldn’t find an unoccupied socket to charge my mobile phone. The cover of the light was also damaged and lied on my bed when I entered the room. The ladies at the reception...

I find this hotel a good choice. The location is excellent, only 12 min walk to the city center. Price is very reasonable. Supermarket is close. It is very safe (I was coming back in the middle of the night, walking). The hotel isn't fancy, but it's decent and clean. The hotel service is excellent. I forgot some item in the hotel. It was found and sent to me to my home. I really had a pleasure of dealing...

Excellent location, right in the center of Brussels. The room and bathroom are very spacious, but in need of renovation.
I was a little worried about the safety of the surrounding area.
There were some areas that needed some cleaning,
but I think it was good for the price.
The people at the entrance were very kind and helpful.
Absolutely wonderful, the service was excellent. I would definitely return.
Hotel Le Grand Colombier was a simple and fairly basic place to stay. The location is tucked away, which made it nice and quiet, but unfortunately it was a bit too far from the train station to be convenient, so I wouldn’t really recommend it if you need easy access to transport. The facilities and overall style of the hotel were on the modest side, nothing fancy, but it did the job for a short stay...
It's OK, facilities need to be added, the overall effect is OK
Excellent location, right in the center! Old hotel but it serves the purpose of stopping for one night, the cuckoo or the receptionist spoke Spanish and was friendly

I have been staying in Brussels on a regular basis for years. There are a number of good hotels in Brussels, but the Hotel Orts is outstanding! The staff were friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful. The room was excellent, the WiFi was a very welcome free service and the food was superb! I wish I had found this hotel before and I will not even consider any other for the future. For me,...
I thought this was a bar and we only stopped for a quick drink before dinner but the weather outside was bad and the atmosphere inside was good. Service was great so we stayed for dinner which was really enjoyable. We didn't stay at the hotel but the bar/restaurant was good
Staying at this hotel in July of 2019 was a highlight of our time in Brussels. When I made the booking, I requested a room with a balcony and I honestly think they gave us the best one in the entire place. It is not fancy, but very unique and perfect for my boyfriend at I who were young travellers in Belgium for the first time. The staff was very friendly, and the location was absolutely perfect- bars...
Was on the top floor which had great views of the surrounding streets and terrace houses. Bed was extremely comfortable so after s big day of walking I slept like a dream.
The bathroom was tidy and had everything I needed.
Overall, it was a great stay, very clean and close to all restaurant, bars and sites. Would highly recommend.
We arrived fairly late in the day and were greeted with a warm and friendly smile. We were shown to our room with clear instructions and information about breakfast etc. We headed out for a walk and found we were right in the thick of things! Restaurants and bars were plentiful around the area, but in no way loud and rowdy so did not impact us in that way.
We happened upon Grand Place without even...
Ok! The reception doesn't speak really well. When you arrive you will think that you make a mistake getting a room here. But the hotel is really great. Great rooms with a beautiful view. Really recommend this hotel. All clean and nice. Nice bedroom also.

Staff were nice and helpful, actually quite close to the airport and had a Lidl 1 minute walk away!
The staff is very kind and accomodating.
Of course, it is a little far from the city center. Considering the price, the room is average, but the hygiene and service attitude are acceptable.
2 stars with a minus
Even for the low-ish price it was pretty bad. Many broken things in my room and bathroom had terrible smell coming presumably plumbing/pipes. At least internet was decent.
I have not stayed in many worse places than this one in Europe.
Really enjoyed my stay - room was at the back and very quiet. Very easy to get into the city centre - bus across the road outside Lidl to Luxembourg Place which is a good place to end up. Had a walk around the area- not many people or cars - very peaceful. Not a massive breakfast selection but nice enough . Staff very pleasant and very helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Good shower etc
The hotel rooms are well-equipped, the location is a bit remote, and the transportation is average. Breakfast is a bit simple!

Excellent. Friendly staff. Very accommodating we had more towels then we needed! A*. Even looked after our bags after we checked out so we could go shopping.
I really liked this place. It was cheap and easy to get to all the touristy places via public transportation. The neighborhood is mainly Turkish so you'll have some nice kebab places on nearly every corner.
Rooms are modest. Bed was big, clean and comfortable. The stand up shower was a bit awkward, but it suited my individual needs fine. Their continental breakfast is 7€ per day but worth every cent...
If price is only consideration then it's good. If you want to bring other variables like ambiance etc and ready to shell out more then please look elsewhere.
Good price-quality balance. Worth to book in advance if you would like save some money while you enjoy your holidays.

Decent for a solo traveler and only 1 night, good location
The cleanliness was questionable, and the bed was very uncomfortable. The light fixtures were in poor condition, and the curtains were dirty and damaged. The only upside was the location...
Everything is great! And the best locations are nearby.
The location was excellent, just one subway stop from Brussels North Station. However, the stairs were narrow, making it inconvenient with large suitcases.
A series of treacherous staircases up to the room, some of them without lighting. No soap, gel or shampoo. One towel. Bed had no bedstead and was not flush against the wall, so no head support. No light switch by the bed.
Shower has no hot water. Not advisable for travellers with luggage as there is no lift and the staircase is too narrow.

It is close to the train station and the transportation is very convenient, but the facilities are rather old. The soundproofing is not good and the rooms near the train station are too noisy.

Positive points: Handy basic hotel in the downtown core of Brussels, only 5 minutes walking distance from Brussels Central Station. The place and room are tidy and clean. We stayed here for 2 nights. Location was amazing!!! I enjoyed opening the window and listening to the live music and watching the people in the square below. Grand Place just a block away. The room was decent, a little “tired” but offset by the lower cost. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Cafe next door had a great breakfast.
The hotel is located in the city center with convenient transportation. It is within walking distance of major attractions and commercial areas. There are subway stations, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Life and travel are very convenient. The geographical location can be said to be very advantageous.
Very close to Grand Place and easy access to tourist attractions
The location is great and the access from the station is good, but there is no lift and the room did not have a lock. I would not recommend this place for women.

The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the center. Thank you very much to the employees for a friendly atmosphere, I would be glad to stay at your hotel again! And of course a huge thanks to the lovely cat Pasha, he really likes guests!

Very nice little hotel in a good part of the city to go exploring. Enjoyed my time there.
As a woman in her 20s traveling alone, I had a lot of concerns when choosing a hotel. Places near the city center were sooooo expensive / I was reluctant to stay at a hostel because it was inconvenient / I didn't like places with bad security or poor cleanliness in the alleys around there, so there weren't many places that were possible ㅜㅜ
To conclude, this place was really great!! I think it's a good...
Just what is expected from a budget hotel. The rooms are good however there is scope of improvement. Beds are comfy. Bathroom is clean and is of good size but the shower room is very tiny. Most disappointing was the breakfast. Nothing bad but the choice is limited. There is no freshly cooked food just ready to eat items like corn flakes, fruits, bakeries, etc.
Located in a largely ethnically Turkish neighborhood of Brussels, the Hotel Meribél is located not far from the Brussels Nord station (one stop to the airport), the Botanical Gardens, and the Botanique metro stop. It is about a 20-minute walk to the Grand Place down the Rue Royale.

nice location, very clean, very satisfied, staffs are helpful and polite
The hygiene was poor, and the place was very old. There were hardly any staff, and the power even went out once during my stay. The only redeeming quality was the nice garden outside the window. It's okay for a one-night stay if you have an early Flixbus the next day.
The room is big but the bathroom didn’t looks clean, something in the bathroom are sticky. And there was a big spider in my friend’s bag. I wish they can improve the cleanness. Also, people who choose to stay here can avoid the nearby Brussels Noord (I don’t know if I spell right) train station, the street near that station is messy and dirty.
The hotel is very close to FlixBus bus stop! There is a police station and halal supermarket for Muslim community behind the hotel. The hotel should consider having 2 front desk workers at a time instead of just 1 person manning the front desk. When there are group of people talking and running around at the hotel room corridor, I couldn’t find the front desk person to solve the problem as there was...
Our room wasn't cleaned.(Bed, bathroom

Additionally the breakfast buffet wasn't great especially salad. Tasted like seafood at some point.

Great location and only 30minutes walk to the Grand Place/ city centre. Love the complimentary coffee and hot chocolate provided by the hotel.
Very good location for stayover, a bit far from shopping etc. maybe not ideal for a long stay. But good value for money and amnesties that match this value

Strategic location. It’s within walking distance to Brussels Midi train station, where you can travel almost anywhere at your fingertips. The surrounding area is not as dangerous as many people claim. There’s a free 24-hour coffee machine, which is great for travelers like us.

Great location for good price. No staff on site, but everything went as expected. Booking system could be better especially how they charge credit cards. I wasn't happy to give them a photo of my credit card.
The apartment was okay overall, but it was a bit worn out. The AC was leaking onto the floor and was noisy throughout the night. There was also an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom.
Check-in was a bit confusing, as I didn’t receive any information by email beforehand. I had to call to request the details, and only then was I given the check-in instructions and access codes.
