Just back from our second stay at the Selena, as normal a word for the staff who are a credit to the hotel. The cleaners never stop ,rooms are serviced every day, and public places kept very clean. All have a smile for you, and are very helpfull, big shout out for reception staff, George and his staff in the restaurant , Vicky who looked after us on most days, and Radoslav in the pool bar, Many thanks. Dont expect bacon and eggs for breakfast every day, but there is a good selection of cold meats, cheese, pastries etc. you will not go hungry. Cant comment on the evening meals ,we always go Bn B . There is easy access to the many restaurants, and a lovely walk to the old town, which is a must visit. The hotel itself has lovely sea views from the rear of the hotel, and its a two minutes walk to the beach. To sum up , lovely hotel ,lovely room, very relaxed holiday.

The location was perfect and had easy access to the beach and the old town. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotlessly clean. However the hotel is dated and in need of modernisation. The mattress on our beds had seen better days and caused us aching backs. Breakfast was ok and there was a fairly good selection but the cereal was getting stale as the week went on and the only choice was chocolate cereal, porridge or some form of corn flakes. The juice is diluted and the coffee machine kept breaking down. There is limited fresh fruit available. There is a tiny pool which is freezing but we never had a problem getting a sun lounger and towels were complimentary. The bar is well stocked and the service was very good. All in all a reasonably priced hotel in a superb location. We would probably visit again because of the location but the mattresses need replacing and some slight adjustments made to the food.

I have been 2 years running to this hotel and absolutely love it. Staff very polite and helpful, breakfast excellent, rooms are super clean and hotel is perfectly positioned. I absolutely loved my holiday at Hotel Selena. Also made some friends for life here.

Just got back from a week stay here and was very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff, and how spotlessly clean every part of the hotel was. The rooms are a good size and free aircon and wifi are also a bonus. The location is great too, literally facing the beach and a short stroll to either a long street of shops, restaurants and another beach, or a 15 minute walk to the old town again with many lovely restaurants, shops and cafe/bars. Breakfast was great with a good selection of hot and cold options, and we ate at the hotel one evening which was lovely and similar price to other restaurants we ate at. Would definitely come back here in the future.

We stayed at the selena for 11 nights at the end of June as a couple. We where half board and had a standard street facing room. This hotel is in a great position. The room was basic but clean and a good size. Good air con and WiFi, the beds were really comfy and the shower was lovely. We found the rooms to be really quiet and had no trouble sleeping, balcony was small but got the sun and was good for people watching. The pool area was quiet, plenty of sunbeds with comfy pads. Pool small but a good temperature and nice to cool off in. Lovely view of the sea. There is a bar selling drinks and crisps, but no food and your not allowed to eat or drink anything of your own. The restaurant area is nice with a good view of the sea. Breakfast was OK, but repetitive and not a big choice, you won't go hungry but it's not very exciting. Evening meal is from a set menu which you choose from in a morning. Food was hit and miss, soups and desserts lovely, everything else was a bit tasteless and dry. Also found when there were people not from the hotel at the restaurant we were ignored a bit and service wasn't as good. If I stayed again it would be bed and breakfast. The staff are all pleasant and friendly, cleaning and reception staff particularly. Sozopol itself is very pretty with plenty of places to stroll to. Beach and sea are good and loads of restaurants. It's not really geared up for English people and some places aren't very welcoming but lots are and personally I'd rather that than somewhere like sunny beach. Balkan holidays offers excursions on there website, but the rep said they don't do any as there aren't enough English people for it to be worth running them. We did use the fast ferry and buses though. Overall a lovely break.

Due to flight times we arrived at the Hotel Selena in the early hours of the morning, the taxi transfer taking about 35 minutes. Check in was fast and easy and we were shown to our room, a porter followed and brought our cases on a trolley for us. The room was clean, equipped with a TV (mostly german channels), a small fridge with mini bar, air conditioning, a decent sized shower room, and a balcony with a drying rack and patio table and chairs. Wifi is free and generally worked well, but with the odd momentary drop out. The hotel is situated on the south bay side of the old town. Leave the hotel via the rear door and a short walk left along the promenade takes you to the vibrant old town with bars, shops and restaurants. We ate out every night of our stay and found prices to be very good. We opted for bed and breakfast which is served in the restaurant or on the large patio overlooking the bay. Food was plentiful and varied in the form of a buffet style continental breakfast with meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit, cereal etc. There is a small bar just off reception with access to the pool selling drinks, ice creams and snacks while you sunbathe on the terrace on one of the many sunbeds. Just opposite the Hotel front door is a small pancake stall, the two ladies work from 08:00 to midnight and serve fantastic crepes with all sorts of fillings (ask for the english menu) ideal for a mid afternoon snack. Also there is a small local shop a minute away (turn left out the front then first left) the guy is really friendly and sells water, crisps, biscuits etc. The Hotel Selena is a lovely friendly hotel, with everything you need for a cracking holiday.

Hotel in great location. Went with Balkan was picked up by taxi which made nice change from coach arrived at Hotel had a street room with twin beds was comfortable and quiet after 11. Welcome surprise in room fruit and food left in room on arrival. Pool small but lovely to cool off in and plenty of sun beds. Lovely beaches and restaurants a short walk away. No singer at hotel when we there only restaurant music but as we at front didnt hear it. We were half board Breakfast ok dinner based on set menu but could go al a cart which was discounted found food better. Staff friendly and helpful. Would check when need to vacate room as charge by hour after set time. Enjoyed our stay next time would go bed and breakfast.

The title says it all. We are well travelled and never been to a more friendly hotel. Before arrival I had very rapid responses to my emails from Dyana regarding the booking. It was no surprise on arrival that she was so professional in her role. We were allocated a sea facing room with breathtaking views of the awesome bay. The room was kept pristine by the lovely Milena. Kettle available upon request. No shortage of sun beds around the small but well maintained pool. Very talented musician plays every night in the restaurant garden. He is a great sax/guitarist/pianist/singer. With a wide variety of songs. Drinks and food very reasonably priced. Loved the wine. We sat outside in the garden to have breakfast and you couldn’t have wished for a more picturesque view. Ralitsa and all staff in the restaurant very attentive and pleasant. The hotel location is absolutely perfect as you are so close to the stunning Old Town. Sozopol is really beautiful. Fantastic to walk along the quaint streets or along the marina. There are so many lovely bars and restaurants along the beach. The beach is kept immaculate. We were amazing each evening that a tractor came along and fastidiously cleaned it. It is evident that this is a small family run hotel, with special attention to friendliness. Our middle of the night departure was made memorable by the lovely conversation and snack bag provided by Tanya and Niki. We had a wonderful send off from them both. Huge thanks to Petya who clearly loves her manager role and has passed her hospitality skills on to all of the staff at this lovely hotel. We hope to be back again next year and will certainly stay for longer. Blagodarya to every one of you!
