Where to stay in Sozopol

The scenery around the hotel is amazing. There is a main hotel and a few apartment building scattered around it. The hotel rooms are comfy and renovated. You can also rent an apartment in one of the other buildings. Apartments are generally only operated (not owned) by the hotel and their condition may vary. we spent our summer vacation in St. Thomas. we had great time, they have private beds with umbrellas at the beaches + five swimming pools for the guests. the food was amazing. the view from our room was amazing, probably the best we have ever had. but the best of all were ladies at the reception, Zenka, Maya and Nina. if we had any problem, they would solve it quickly and with smile. the only downside...

We really enjoyed the place. We attended a wedding there. Great view of the sea, large spacious rooms. The food was great. we had no time to check the SPA, but it was also available. The breakfast could have been a bit more complete, e.g. I couldn't find ayran. There is EV charging available and a big parking lot with a lot of capacity. The rooms are also accessible by elevator. I barely had any interaction...

We have been going here for 10 years. The only real problem is the food. Chef should be fired, F&b manager as well, long time ago. Not international standard. Cold food. All inclusive but water only, meat is the cheapest type, almost non edable. Fish is from the freezrer, cheapest type and the list goes on...

Location is top and beautiful with a great beach near by. The base is pretty old though. It's definitely not a 5 star, more like a solid 3-star hotel. Some things are just annoying: - Very short breakfast (7:30-10) and dinner slots (18:30-20:30!!). - having to pay for the coffee machine or the safe in the room..why?! Like I said, 3 star hotel..

Good place if you like big all-inclusive complexes. Lot of swimming pools and big canteen, but it's crowdy and kind of noisy

We have rented a two bedroom apartment there from Evelina. It was really nice, comfortable, with all small thing that you might need during your stay available. The location of the apartment is great, close to pools and supermarket. Comfortable beds, big terrace.

This is a housing complex, built on the southern side of the Bay of Sozopol, southwest of the town of Sozopol itself. The landscaping is the most impressive part of the whole venue as there is lush greenery surrounding the buildings and they have put quite a lot of work in it. The buildings themselves are nothing special, typical for this part of the black sea coast - siding done with low quality wood...

Was there last summer. Excellent place to 😊😊😊have a calm and healthy vacation and rest. Wonderful nature, very comfortable cottages and resting rooms. We absolutely loved the overall aesthetics of the village, including the beautiful alleyways, the lush vegetation, and the wonderful pools. Our room had an amazing terrace with a gorgeous view of the sea. I know some guests mentioned the long distances to walk from one place to another within the village, but we liked it. The old town of Sozopol is literally 15 minutes away on foot from the Viva Mare...

Nice hotel big and good pools the room was nice. But there were a lot of climbing up and going down which tired me. But overall it was very nice

Amazing place with lots of green areas, a lot of great pools and amazing views. Some parking places are very risky in high season due to inclination - I assume most of the cars will be dented by others. Also, some areas are neglected and it starts to show - it is sad to see unusable parks and cracked terrains. The inside of the complex is in good shape and they also have transportation.

If you want a nice calm place. This is it.

Very nice clean hotel, nice pool area and very convenient to the local beach, approx 300m. It's around 4km outside Sozopol the nearest large town and sea resort. There was a little bit of detail missing in the hotel, such as the kettle which is listed and no sheets, which I'm sure would have been easily resolved, but as a stop over we didnt. Staff very helpful, and friendly.

Very nice place with a great location. Ver clean, the personnel is polite. Great premises, 5 min walk to the beach. On the downside they can fit the rooms with door nets as there are mosquitos at night and also the soundproofing of the rooms can be improved. I recommend this place. This place is a bit out of the way, but nice. Don't come out of season though because nothing is open. The pool is nice and everything is clean. The facilities are OK and the lovely beach is over the road. There is also a small play ground for babies.

This hotel corresponds to 3 stars, simple breakfast, the room had a small failure, but the staff removed them

Good sized studio appartment, we stayed on ground floor and door opened onto poolside. Very clean and nice big pool, close to beach and, old town about 15 min walk.

A place with an excellent position. You need only couple of minutes to reach the beach. There are two pools inside, shower and spa. There is a small café-restaurant where you can order coffee, drinks or food and eat near the pool. Drinks with fruit juice and soda are so delicious. We liked literally everything about the property - perfect location, extremely friendly staff who are there for their guests for whatever they might need, cozy rooms, fully equipped and perfectly clean. Bedrooms are good, but the bathrooms are quirky. The front desk people were nice.

Very nice place. The rooms are big and nice design, very, very clean. I love the shower type 😍 A few minutes walking from the city centre and 7-8 minutes walking to the beach.

The room was excellent and the view too, but the thing that left the biggest impression was the friendly and helpful manager and his wife. They were ready to help with every problem, question and issue I had. I even had an accident outside the hotel and when I came back to the reception the manager helped me tie up my broken finger. They were cheerful and always ready to help!

This is a wonderful family run hotel on the is d of Rhodes. The owners are reallly welcoming and friendly from the moment you enter. The facilities an are excellent and the bedroom was comfortable with great air con too! We were made to feel so welcome and will definitely be back here again. Highly recommended.

I went on holidays with my family and I loved my stay there. The service was beautiful! The staff were very polite and friendly. We were given two rooms with an amazing view towards the sea. Amazing view and so friendly and helpful staff. We booked a room for two last year and we would totally return. We had breakfast included, which was delightful again with a perfect view of the sea. The hotel was also very clean. Overall, I recommend! The only minus is that there are nit that many parking spots..

I stopped by the hotel to get a coffee or some water — it was extremely hot outside. I asked if I could pay by card, but the reception staff had to discuss it and then told me no. So basically, unless you're a guest, you can't even buy a drink, even if you're willing to pay. Terrible policy. Very unwelcoming. :(

Lovely hotel, being only 3 stars, I belive deserves 5, with very friendly and welcoming staff, cosy, I would say luxury rooms, beautiful and clean, bathrooms with tub, seaview from a generous balconies. Situated in 5 mun walks from a sandy beach. Fifteen minutes walk to the old town of Sozopol. Highly recomend for a family vacation.

The whole experience was really amazing.The staff are friendly and helpful at any point in time. We enjoyed staying in their clean & beautiful rooms with such a beautiful view towards the Black sea. Not forgetting the morning breakfast was superb. Bravo to the Blonde lady at the reception - Top notch welcoming and hospitality. I recommend!

We stayed in this family hotel for 4 nights, we liked our room as it was spacious and very clean, you can hear the sea and also it is few steps to actually reach the beach and in the morning to view sun rising. They offer selection of breakfast - it is not a buffet and we were asked to select what we wanted a day before. The location is also in quieter part of Sozopol but still within walking distance...

Next to two beaches, a good breakfast, everyday cleaning and changing towels, nice stuff, perfect for families.

A very nice hotel in a great location. The beach is almost at your steps (and the view is amazing), but you can also easily walk to Sozopol Center :) The staff is the kindest and very helpful. The breakfasts are tasty and served with a smile. And the restraint is very good :)

Barex Family Hotel was great. Rooms are big and clean, service great, breakfast good and the location just beside beach comfortable. Sozopol City is not too far away. The only problem is parking, If there's not free spot onvthe street, you have to pay for parking.

Chicken fried in old oil odd taste, cocumber salad really good. Waitress was quite unhappy that we came. She understands a little bit of English but don't expect to get correct order in one go.

Eat at the restaurant - just ordered a repeat of the first order: BRILLIANT Pork Kvarama - a stew, with meat, onions, musrums, pepper and a eeg on top - and a garlic bread on the side, washed down with a draft beer and a large Mastica (Bulgarian ouzo). Goes with fries too, if you want 🙂

Great family owned restaurant. It is not fancy, but great value for money. Definitely try the fish soup and mussels.

It was perfect for my studies and work, a desk just above the waves, fast Wi-Fi and a coffee machine in the hallway. There’s also a TV, a fridge and a hair dryer in the room. Heating is by AC but because the house is one of the traditional old ones, the type of isolation doesn’t let the air become dry, so I was completely ok with it. In the winter Sozopol is a ghost town, it was quiet and peaceful...

Absolutely perfect for our holiday. The studio was spotlessly clean and provided with a few essentials for the shower room and kitchen. Clean towels and bedding with provided during our stay. Amazing location with stunning views. Located at the end of the delightful old town on the cliff edge.

The location is perfect - in the old Sozopol. The studio was spacious and clean. There is a kitchen with a sink and microwave oven. There was a spacious balcony. Balcony has a lovely views plus a table and two chairs, however there is no chair for the table inside.
