Tips

We had a wonderful vacation here and truly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to be helpful and kind. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed to relax. The pools and the waterslides were well maintained and fun for the kids. The meals were normal with a good variety for everyone. It was exactly what we needed for a relaxing holiday, and we would definitely come back again.

Positioned close to the beach. Has several options for transportation. Food is OK, although there are not many healthy option. Hotel has good animation for children and very good aqua park. Parking is a little bit problematic if you come by car, but there is a second option to park near the hotel

Got here today still have a few days …
The locations is really far from everything and you gotta take a cap anywhere witch really expensive.
The food in the hotel is really low quality and not tasty witch is sad due I paid for all inclouded pack

Very disappointing experience.As a group leader I booked for my group an all-inclusive stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included for a dance festival. However, the hotel changed the lunch hours without informing guests. Today we went to eat at 14:40 and were told lunch was over – no flexibility, no notice.

When we asked reception, they didn’t care at all. They simply said that it's up to us to check every day. Absolutely unprofessional behavior.

In the end, we had to leave the hotel all the group and pay at a restaurant, and all my group were really angry. We definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

We are currently staying at the Kotva Hotel in Bulgaria, and we couldn't be more impressed! This is our second visit to Sunny Beach, and Kotva Hotel is definitely the winner. Last year, we stayed at Barceló, but I have to say, Kotva surpasses it in every way. Pool bar running from 12 till 18:00 with plenty of food variety.

The rooms are lovely, and the food service is well-timed. With 4 pools and brilliant slides, our kids are still having a blast after 4 days—they spend all their time in the water and haven't gotten bored yet! The slides are very safe, and the staff is wonderful. There are plenty of bars, and the location is perfect.

We did have an issue with the air conditioning in our room, but the staff quickly resolved it by giving us a new room with no hassle. We highly recommend Kotva Hotel as our top choice, and we travel a lot. Well done, Kotva, for running such an amazing place for families! ❤️

The lobby and the hotel is not bad looking. Staff is not sympathetic at all and make you feel like an inconvenience whener you ask them for the simplest thing, they will roll their eyes at you, ignore you and look like they hate being there.

All of the drinks at the bar are written in English, yet ordering anything in English is more than difficult as the staff knows little to none, other than the receptionist.

The quality of the food is bottom of the barrel, a single bite of some of their meat will make you question its contents. They use a ton or margarine for cooking which makes the food extremely greasy. Dessert are as artificially and full of preservatives as it gets. Vegetables are rarely fresh and that goes for a lot more things.

The rooms itself don't look bad, except they are not clean at all, the toilets stink and as we found it , not only in our room. The restrooms in the lobby smelled like urine 24/7 and were really dirty. Room service is as lazy as it get as the cleaner usually comes in, places some water bottles on your table and put a used roll of toilet paper on you toilet that they try to make look like it's new.

Their room for activities with arcade machines and tables for pool and tennis is an absolute scam and I don't recommend paying for any of that.

The people staying a the hotels behave like complete animals and the children make your stay even more unbearable.

On our last day of stay we were told to get out after checking out despite our travel agency agent telling us we can stay and enjoy the hotel until we get picked. Luckily for us they changed their mind after a while upon realizing how terribly they were treating us.

To include some of the good things, the drinks are great and so are the slushies. The aquapark which is part of the hotel is probably the best part, mostly because it's taken care of since it creates more income for them.

The cleaning is non existent, there's no cleaning in the rooms, the towels are changed every other day.

You don't get bottled water and your are not allowed to refill a bottle unless you pay, although the service is all inclusive.

Food is the same every day and sometimes is seems old and you might get food poising from some foods(fish), but the sweets are very good.

The aqua park is good and large enough, it has a lot of water slides.

Negatives:
-Cleaning of the rooms is bad. They changed hand towels only twice and bath towels only ones for seven days. They don not changed the sheets. The room is not so clean.
-Air conditioners are very noisy for the night.
-All inclusive meals are just Ok if you want to eat the same things every day.
-There is no bar where you can buy a good espresso or nice cocktail like Mojito or Frappe.
-There are a lot of trash around the pool and sunbeds, because people cannot keep clean. In Aqua park there are many people which are not guests of the hotel and this is very uncomfortable.
-The hairdryer was crashed and they did not have additional one, so the girls should sleep with wet hair. The next day they changed the hairdrayer.
-There is no instructions for safe
-There is no card "Do not disturb"
-The remote control for air conditioner in one of the rooms did not work.

Positives:
-Animation is good
-There are food and cocktail on the pool all the day long
-Rooms are big enough.
-Bathroom is big
-The New pool with is a little bit hotter than the others.
-The beach is near

Lovely and conveniently located hotel. Tidy and air-conditioned rooms. Appears to be wheelchair friendly.
Daily room service.
The hotel has multiple swimming pools, some with swim up bars. Few waterside. Unfortunately, some of them are out of service during our stay.
Very pleasant staff.
Multiple activities for children.
The only 2 downsides are: not being allowed to fill own water bottle/ take water to the room (each person receive 500ml bottle of water in their room daily but that's it) All drinks, including water from dispenser to be consumed within bar/ restaurant/ pool area. There is a surcharge of 5€ for taking water into your own container.
The hotel does not provide pool towels. Towels in the rooms are not to be used outside. Luckily, there are shops just outside selling pool towels.
