We had a wonderful stay here tonight with our two sons. The hotel is very quiet, and the sound insulation is excellent, which made the night very peaceful. The bedding is incredibly soft and comfortable, and the room felt spacious and welcoming. Everything was perfect for a relaxing family stop. Great place to stay in a great neighborhood. Rooms were clean and spacious, the suite was excellent overlooking the street. The hotel is located not far from St. Joseph's Church, visible from the entrance, within a 10-minute walk. The street in front of the hotel is the main street of the area, lined with restaurants, supermarkets, and markets, making it very convenient. It's only a 2-3 minute walk to the subway station; a subway ride to the Old Town takes about half an hour, and a taxi costs around 20 Canadian dollars...

I had a great experience thanks to Nabil at the front desk. His customer service was excellent from the moment I arrived. He was very professional, friendly, and welcoming and you can really see his strong hands on people skills. Nabil made the whole check in process smooth and was very pleasant to deal with. A lot better stay than anticipated from some of the reviews. I think we’ve discovered that the ground and upper level rooms are better up kept than the basement; So try and make sure you’re able to get one of them, our room specifically was 108 and it was perfectly fine! You can hear the hallway quite a lot if people are being disruptive, the windows also don’t provide much blockage from outside sound...

I think the floors of my room could have been a bit cleaner, but everything else was great. The staff were very accomodating and the location is truly superb. I think this place is really old and needs some renovating overall but you can't beat the price short of staying in the hostel next door. The room TV was pretty old but I don't watch anyways. They have parking out back but my car wouldn't fit...

I've stayed here at least a dozen times. The price is great, as is the location if you're looking to be near the village. Is it luxurious? No. Is the bed the most comfortable? No. But you're not paying luxury hotel prices, and if you temper your expectations you'll find it to be a perfectly serviceable hotel with free WiFi, cable, and breakfast. I'll continue staying here each time I visit Montréal

We had a great time, in my personal opinion complaining about a historic building having noise issues is a little odd especially considering how the rooms have brick and support beams exposed I expected as much. Excellent hôtel! Price is really affordable and you get a great service for what you pay. It's not pristine clean nor, the furniture aren't luxurious. But again you get a great service! We had a suite and the kitchen is well equipped. Location is absolutely amazing! Breakfast is good and free.

The receptionist Saint Claire was super helpful even when I checked in early and had a difficult time navigating Montreal. He ensured I felt comfortable and provided very clear instructions. A decent hotel in an excellent location, just a short walk from Downtown and Old Montreal, and steps from Berri-UQAM metro station. Could use some sprucing up and the layout is a tad confusing at first but the included breakfast is pretty good and the price is excellent for what you get.

This fantastic place which I've known for many years is now closed. The management said they could not withstand with impact of the pandemic. They have suggested they might reopen someday in a new form, maybe partly condo, but who really knows. The hotel has visited by many A-list people over the years, and I loved the restaurant as a place to impress visitors.

This is such a beautiful Hotel. We made a last minute reservation because we were accepted to Diner en Blanc in Montreal. The staff was really incredible. From the time we arrived and checked in, to the Concierge's guidance on local caterers, directions and recommendations to a liquor store and directions to the metro. It was a memorable stay and we'll definitely be back.

You can hear the cars from outside , especially if the exhaust is a bit loud. I was on the last floor and I could still hear the cars passing by in the middle of the night if I was awake. There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang went towels and no waste baskets. No coffee machine. No iron board and no iron. Suspisious activities in the parking lot. Many homeless persons asking for money and cigarettes.

The room was nice and clean, staff was prompt and helpful, and parking was no problem. The hotel is a very easy walking distance to the train, making the rest of the city accessible. The place is nothing fancy, and the wifi service was hardly passable. Would recommend if you're planning to spend almost all of your time out and about and just need a clean+safe place to lay your head.

Don't expect the same level of comfort, service, and amenities as a 4-star hotel at a 2-star hotel. Everything is predictable and in line with the price in this part of the city. I wasn't prepared for the $100 deposit. But nothing unusual here either. The hairdryer in the room burned out during my stay—they gave me a replacement without any problems. You get what you pay for - had another accommodation cancel our reservation last minute due to a water leak/damage so we had to book something last minute in the same area without costing a fortune. It's only a two-minute walk from the subway station, which is very convenient for doing things in the city. The breakfast in the morning is just bread, milk, juice and coffee. It's simple, but it's cost-effective.

My family of five had a lovely stay at this hotel and we will be sure to stay here again when visiting family in the future. Turguay was very attentive and helpful in ensuring that we would be able to get into the hotel even though our train was very late; the room was perfect; and the hotel was centrally located. This is the best hotel in Montréal by far. Location is close to everything and supermarket next door. Most of the room are suite with kitchen, full size fridge. Very warm welcome by the owner. He is one of the smartest, funniest small business owner. He has been travel around the world and he respects all kind of lives. 5 stars to the staffs and this place.

The hotel owner was really kind, and the room condition was excellent. It was close to all amenities, and having a kitchen was a great plus! However, please note that there is no elevator, so it might be difficult for travelers with heavy luggage. I would love to stay here again if I return to Montreal!

Great location and good to have laundry room but points taken off for terrible wifi (non-existent), smelly elevator and non punctual service. We asked for housekeeping and they said it was too late around 4PM and they could do it the following day. The next day the housekeeping came at 4:30 pm, after we had already returned from a day of sightseeing and wanted to rest. We had to wait in the lobby...

The cottage I rented was so close to the lively atmosphere of the village - restaurants,bars etc yet it was quiet at night - what a beatiful apartment too - so cute , clean and modern My friends that are local want to use this for their out of town guests in future Would highly recommend !

Clean room, efficient checkin, older quaint room but well cared for. Walking distance to some of Montréals best shops, Mount Royal, and of course Schwartzs deli. Had a 5 day stay in 2023, enjoyed every minute of it. It's definitely a good stay if you are on the younger side as it can get loud on the weekends. The manager even let me pick my own room, Great restaurants close by and the subway is right there.
