Wingate by Wyndham Sanya Luhuitou Hotel in Sanya

The environment is pretty good here. The hotel has its own swimming pool and a children's play area, so it's a nice spot for kids. There were quite a few foreign guests staying here too. The location is convenient, and the lobby staff will help with your luggage if you have a lot.

Since I was traveling with my 13-month-old baby, one issue for me was that I had requested a three-sided child safety rail a week in advance, but upon check-in, the front desk said the equipment department could only provide two sides. Eventually, a friendly front desk staff member managed to arrange for three sides. (So what was the point of contacting them in advance?)

I have to give a low rating for the safety rail itself. It was tied with ropes, making it impossible for an adult to get in and out of bed from the knotted side. The other side had a large gap and was wobbly (you can see photos and videos), so it didn't serve its purpose at all. I later felt that the rail was worse than useless and actually posed a safety hazard. So, I proactively changed to a family room, letting my child sleep on the bottom bunk against the wall, which felt much safer than the rail. However, during the room change, I didn't feel any apology or sincerity from the hotel; they didn't offer any solutions, merely stating that 'this is how the rails are' and that they would 'report it to their superiors.' Basically, I just paid the difference at full price to change rooms. I also suggested that since I booked a package through Ctrip that didn't include breakfast, perhaps they could upgrade me to a breakfast-inclusive stay due to the unpleasant experience, but this was politely declined. Of course, I understand that the front desk might not have the authority to make such decisions regarding the billing process. I'm not hiding anything; I'm just giving an objective review.
