My stay at Mercure Suzhou Downtown was great!
👍 Positives:
- Spacious, high-floor room with great views
- Exceptionally supportive staff, including the kind lady at the noodle station
- Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options
- Laundry room on every floor was very convenient
- Robot delivery service for food was fun
- Great location, close to restaurants and Metro
👎 Room for improvement:
The name of the hotel is very confusing:
- The signage shows Mercure Suzhou Pingjiang Wanda Plaza
- The Accor App shows Mercure Suzhou Downtown
- Google Maps have Mercure Suzhou Downtown and Suzhou Railway Station Mercure Htl
- Apple Maps shows Suzhou Pingjiang Wanda Plaza Mercure Hotel.
There is too much name variation, making it very difficult to find the hotel.

Very comfortable rooms and good service from the staffs.

Excellent service. They have literally everything you need, including children’s toys. Great service and very accommodating.

The interior was clean and the rooms were spacious; the breakfast was also quite good.

However, there was a slight smell of smoke in the hallway, and there weren't many dining options nearby. It's close to the subway station, making it very convenient to get to the train station.

First time in China
The hotel is nice, surrounded by factories and away from the crowds. But it's easy to get to town...just contact the front desk, and to get back, just show the hotel's business card.
The food is still acceptable for Indonesians, but be careful of non-halal items.
