This is a truly historical garden hotel. I looked it up, and it was built during the Qing Dynasty, making it a tourist attraction in itself. The location is unbeatable; you just step out and you're on Pingjiang Road, which is Suzhou's most iconic ancient street and a must-visit when in Suzhou. You can easily walk to the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum from here. I have to praise the breakfast – there's a wide variety and everything is delicious. You absolutely have to try a bowl of the wontons; they are so good! 😋

The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to several attractions, yet it's surprisingly quiet despite being in a bustling area. The hotel has its own garden, which is perfect for photoshoots, especially during holidays when tourist spots are crowded. The vegetarian noodles for breakfast were delicious and made up for not being able to try the vegetarian noodles at Xiyuan Temple this time. The hotel also has a play area for children, and the staff's service was impeccable.

The room was quite comfortable, and the hotel itself had an antique garden style, which was very charming. The front desk service was especially attentive. I requested a one-hour late check-out until 1 PM, and the front desk staff immediately checked the possibility and promptly extended my room key.

The exquisite Suzhou-style carved windows frame the garden's pavilions, waterside structures, and black-tiled roofs amidst lush greenery, making every photo a picturesque, ancient-style masterpiece. The hotel boasts a century-old garden, offering a tranquil and elegant environment, and it's just a short walk to Pingjiang Road Old Street. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. Stepping out, you're right in the bustling heart of Suzhou, yet you can also relax and enjoy the garden's elegance. My stay was absolutely perfect.

Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness, no need to visit other gardens. The service has always been exceptional. During this stay, I mentioned that it had been 40 years since I left Suzhou, and Manager Xiao Tang at the front desk immediately upgraded my room and sent some fruit. Breakfast is decent, and the hotel's homemade toppings are authentic – I look forward to them every morning. The location is absolutely perfect; Pingjiang Road is right outside, and popular attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all incredibly close. There are also various specialty snacks and restaurants nearby. Aside from the crowds of tourists, it's practically flawless. Staying here makes me so happy; it truly feels like coming home.

Stepping in here feels like entering a beautiful, ethereal wonderland. Each door is like a portal, transporting you through time. The garden's rockeries and flowing streams... The room itself is a perfect blend of classic and modern, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the Bulgari toiletries have a delightful fragrance.

The staff are warm and friendly, making for a very welcoming stay. The breakfast is delicious, with savory tofu pudding and freshly made noodles that are incredibly tasty. Coming to Suzhou and staying here is like being in a secluded paradise – what a wonderful experience!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right outside Pingjiang Road pedestrian street, and within walking distance to Couple's Retreat Garden. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us a free room upgrade. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with a lovely view from the balcony of the Taihu stone and little fish – truly delightful!

The location is absolutely superb, just 20 meters from Pingjiang Road. The garden design inside is also very unique, and the 'Half Garden' is small but exquisite. The wontons for breakfast are delicious; my child ordered them every day during our three-day stay. The facilities are a bit old, but if they were renovated, this place would be unbeatable.

Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded my room, and a dedicated staff member personally guided me there. The room included breakfast, and I highly recommend the douhua (tofu pudding) – it was delicious. The location is also fantastic; you can walk to Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum, as they're all close by. The high-speed rail station and subway are also very convenient, though a taxi might take about half an hour due to traffic. The hotel itself has a beautiful garden-style layout, complete with dining options and Pingtan (Suzhou storytelling and ballad singing, depending on availability). They also offer shuttle services; you can inquire at the hotel for more details.
