Stayed here during my trip to Hong Kong in January, and the view from our room was AMAZING! The staff was nice, and I greatly appreciated the amenities like the water dispenser in the hallways and the cookies and tea at reception. The location was also convenient, and the shuttle to the metro station was great. Overall, an amazing experience compared to similar stays in HK of the same price. The highlight of it all was definitely the view. The Wi-Fi was also great, but make sure to get a VPN or an international eSIM if you depend on Instagram and TikTok because they do not work on the hotel’s Wi-Fi.

I recently stayed at Bishop Lei International House. There are a few important things future travelers should know before booking.
The Standrad Room:
The space is incredibly narrow. If you are traveling with large luggage or simply value having a bit of breathing room to unpack and move around, you will likely find this room tight and restrictive. It feels claustrophobic, even for Hong Kong standard room sizes.

The hotel is situated in a very quiet area. It is located far up a steep hill.

Because of its uphill location, I would not recommend this property if it is your first time visiting Hong Kong. Navigating the steep incline with luggage, or trying to figure out the local transport options to get up and down the hill, adds unnecessary hassle when you are trying to explore a new city for the first time.
If you know your way around Hong Kong, travel light, and prioritize a quiet night's sleep over spacious accommodations, it's fine. But for first-timers who want easy, flat access to the city's main attractions, you might want to look elsewhere.

The hotel was clean, but it felt very old and outdated. The rooms are quite small, and even the lighting system requires using a physical key, which made it feel like stepping back in time. While everything was functional, the overall atmosphere feel just like in North korea. I never been there but you know giving the vibe. The location also doesn't have any 7/11 or mart nearby and it's on the uphill.

Good location on Robinson Road Close to mid levels escalator. Walking to Central takes around 14 minutes. With 5 to 7 minute walk can reach escalator and many options to eat in soho area. Rooms are a bit small but suites are perfect size to stay. Excellent value for money. Would be great if the hotel can upgrade rooms with key cards instead of heavy keys for flexibility. But always stay here as atmosphere is very friendly and service and security is very good. The view from the suites is too good overlooking the city

The room was small but had everything needed for a solo traveller. Bed was comfortable. The front desk agent Mandy was very kind and assisted me in getting a room as soon as possible after my 16 hours flight and I landed early in the morning. She made my experience wonderful! I waited in the lobby where I saw her call housekeeping right away to clean a room for me right when someone else checked out. The location is a bit difficult to get up and down the mid levels area every day - if you are walking you do have to account for at least 15-20 minutes to get to central station via walking. Also be aware that during different times of the day - the mid levels escalator either go upwards or downwards. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel as well so that was helpful if you needed to get down to Causeway Bay or Wanchai.

Great value. Room was small but modern and clean, with a stunning view of the city. The service was super friendly and accommodating. I had a package shipped for me to pick up at the hotel and they were very responsible with it as well. The pool was clean and also had a great view.

I can't find anything to complain about. The rooms were clean, the service was superb, and the location was great. The view from the room was also amazing. We got umbrellas when it was raining and the front desk was able to give us tips on how to get where. If you have a lot of luggage, you may want to book a bigger room, as the rooms in Hong Kong are generally relatively small.

Although the hotel is situated in the mid-levels, with the use of escalator and shuttle bus service provided by the hotel, make it very convenient for guests. Highly recommend it. Managed to visit the pool during this stay, and the scenery was lovely. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

I had a fantastic experience staying at Bishop Lei Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a free room upgrade, and the room itself was spacious, clean, and had a breathtaking view of the city and harbor.
Overall, a great value for money and a very enjoyable stay. I’d definitely come back!
