Hotel Podstine in Hvar

Our stay at this hotel during our honeymoon was a great experience! When we arrived to our room, we were greeted with these lovely towel swans which was a nice surprise. We stayed in the annex building, which we actually really enjoyed. The view from the balcony was just stunning and we watched some beautiful sunsets from there. The shower was a bit small, but water temp and pressure were great. Breakfast was great and pretty similar to other hotel breakfasts we’ve had in Croatia. We also booked two massages while we were there, and they were one of the highlights for sure. They had 1 massage therapist, so we could only do one person at a time but that was fine. She was amazing!! Also being able to have a massage outdoors with the sound of the waves was great. The walk to the city center honestly wasn’t too bad, the front desk can tell you the best way to go and it ended up being a really nice 15-20 min walk everyday! Overall, great experience, lovely views and good food.

Our stay at Hotel Podstine in early October was absolutely delightful! Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room, which offered stunning vistas of the Adriatic that made our stay even more special. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully appointed, with the sea view adding a touch of magic to every morning.
The complimentary breakfast and dinner service was a highlight. The breakfast buffet was extensive, featuring a variety of fresh, high-quality options, from local pastries to made-to-order dishes. Dinner was equally impressive, with a menu that showcased flavorful, well-prepared dishes highlighting local ingredients. The staff was attentive, warm, and professional, ensuring every meal was a pleasure.
The hotel’s serene location, combined with its exceptional service and thoughtful touches, made our stay unforgettable. Hotel Podstine is a gem in Hvar, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island!

There were plenty of choices for breakfast. The manager of the restaurant was friendly and professional, therefore things runs smoothly.

Amazing location in the bay with excellent views, breakfast was very good. My only complaint is the restaurant was fairly slow for food. I would stay here again over any other place an it’s only a 15min walk to the port along a beautiful sea side walkway.

Very helpful and welcoming reception staff. Lovely hotel . Excellent breakfast . Just 2 things to note, drain in shower is blocked and the toilet flush button is very , very hard to push . Apart from that we had a lovely stay . Thank you

Beautiful quiet location with stunning sea views. Would highly recommend choosing a sea view room as they are clearly the best place to enjoy privacy with a view. The hotel has many and varied outside facilities to enjoy the seafront location. Access to the bay for safe swimming is excellent as are the many sun beds. Decent breakfast facility both indoors and al fresco. Didn’t sample the restaurant during our stay as we strolled into town to sample the many options available in beautiful Hvar town. It’s a 20/25 minute walk into town where there’s something for everyone. Nearest restaurant is only 5/8 minutes walk away.

In summary, the hotel is fine, but choose your room with care as the sea view may be important to you. Service staff are pleasant and helpful and the hotel is well equipped.

Great hotel.
This hotel is wonderful. The location is so good. It is peaceful and relaxing. Having your own beachfront was wonderful. The views are gorgeous. We enjoyed a few days here mid holiday and it was a wonderful break. Theres not a lot in the town but this resort is worth staying at. You can walk to town but not with bags ifv it's hot. Only negative was the price of taxis to town and lack of uber. ( not the hotels fault)

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location was perfect - far enough away from town to feel secluded but just a short walk to the main square. The private sea access was amazing; we spent a full day just staying at the hotel. The included breakfast was also delicious. Overall, highly recommend!!!
