We had a very pleasant family holiday at Fontana Resort. We especially appreciated the friendly and helpful dining room staff, who were welcoming and smiling throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, regularly serviced, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

A big highlight was the children’s entertainment program. The animation team organized a variety of fun activities that kept the kids entertained, allowing us to relax and enjoy our vacation.

Overall, we had a very positive experience and would happily recommend Fontana Resort in Jelsa, especially to families with children looking for a pleasant place to stay on the island of Hvar.

We enjoyed our stay at Fontana resort so much. The proximity of the sea and very nice beaches all around, and the animations program with yoga, aerobics and program for kids are so worth it!

Do not book!No soap in soap dispenser.dirty bath.water flooding bath floor during shower.no guide how to use stove and nobody available to help once reception called.only one AC Unit for BOTH bedrooms that are separate. BOTH doors leading to tarace opened MULTIPLE times during the stormy night waking us up .the worst outdated hotel ever!

This place was a disaster from beginning to end. I booked it not reading reviews and am completely regretting it. Nothing worked, no internet, moldy fridge, no working phone...etc. if we touched it, chances are it was broken or not working. To the credit of the cleaning staff, it wasn't and issue of cleanliness, but a matter of being a severely outdated and run down hotel. A shame because the location is really nice. As nice as the area is, you are better off staying at any other place. It seems like this hotel just gave up caring.

Would stay again!
Enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Walking distance to the downtown stretch and beautiful harbor views. As typical there is no AC and only a sheet is provided as cover on the bed. There was a standing fan tho, and the balcony was a great addition!

It’s an amazing place for a holiday. Breathtaking views, delicious food, and comfortable rooms.
The staff are hospitable and kind, always ready to help whenever you need.
Every day you can enjoy tasty food — lots of fruits, fresh fish, and delicious meat. The menu changes daily.
I am thankful for having such a wonderful vacation in this place.

Gorgeous town of Jelsa walking distance with all the Croatian charm and beauty we had hope
For.
Room was clean A/C worked great for those hot summer Croatian days and nights.

Overall property needs a good facelift- however views, scenery and wonderful clear pristine Adriatic sea water allow for leisurely swims make up for it! Would definitely return to this property. We gave it a chance for the price point and didn’t regret it!

Their terrace music is so intrusive, I can't stand it. I don't understand the need to put the blasting music on, how is that a definition of fun? It might have been in the eighties, IDK... I guess the thinking is the louder the music, the more fun you are having... NOT!
