Great option. Staff is friendly
(Special shout out to Carlos). Rooms are decent in size. They have ample common areas and proper kitchen, dining tables, pots and pans, etc (though cutlery is a little inadequate). Enough separate bathrooms and WCs so you have availability for the guests.
Best part is the location. It is midway between the bus station and the Port, and you can reach either in 5-8 minutes with your luggage). Both these spots are served by the city bus as well so you don't have to walk (45 minutes) to the old town.
There are nice, thoughtful touches ... Some free food, cookies, candles, etc.
The hostel overlooks the Port and you can see ships from your widow. A small garden in the back.

Overall, great option

The bed was comfortable but I could feel the metal rod underneath a little. Pillows are too fat for my liking. These were the only cons for me.

The staff here were absolutely phenomenal and really went the extra mile. They allowed me to leave my bike in a cardboard box for courier collection after I had left, and then helped me retrieve an item and repacked the box for me when I was in a pickle!

The rooms are simple, nice and clean. The communal dining area and garden are lovely. Super conveniently located for the airport bus and other mainline buses. While the hostel is quiet, there are also some great bars and restaurants nearby, and a nice market early in the morning.

We didn’t stay here, however we arrived too early to check into our accommodation until later in the city walls. The staff allowed us to keep our big rucksacks there for a few hours and were very kind. They also gave us tips on Dubrovnik and told us what bus to get and how much. They didn’t charge us for this and we are very grateful!
