Reviews
Location: the best, in a cove facing the sea. Nearby beach.
Staff: Average. Nothing else to add.
Food: doubtful quality and variety.
All inclusive: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cookies and coffee from 16-17h. Drinks are from a machine and if you still have a liver, avoid them.
Premises: outdated rooms, specially toilets and windows (still from the eighties with no sound insulation)
Let's speak about sound: every night there's loud music from the hotel terrace until 22-23h. Forget resting or putting small kids to sleep having a sea-front room (that you actually pay more to have). After some complaints it was told to us by one element of the staff that "if we want peace we should look for a monastery". These people shouldn't be working in a hotel, specially at its reception.
Conclusion: Avoid at all costs unless you are an 75y old that wants to party with typical Croatian music and do hydrogymnastics at the small hotel pool.
What really disappointed us was the behavior of the animation team from Relax Turizem. The equipment they used was already in poor condition, and yet they accused children of damaging it. This was completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
The hotel itself and the hotel staff were generally fine — friendly and accommodating. However, the animation team was a major letdown. Over the 7 days we stayed, most of the activities were aimed at older guests, with very little organized for children.
Overall, the hotel is okay, but I would not recommend it for families with young kids due to the poor animation program and unacceptable behavior from the animation staff.
The hotel is old, but the rooms are clean. Service is very good and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Food is great and you can enjoy fresh and local veggies and fish, every day. Meats are also available. Local alcoholic beverages are available and included in the all inclusive package. The little town of Vela Luka is available within a small pleasant walk.
