It was so scary driving up to this hotel. It’s in a very sketchy neighborhood and the hotel has a whole wing under partial demolition. The overall feeling was of them treating guests as students in a hostel or perhaps used as an “hourly hotel”. The furnishings were low quality dormitory style furniture. There was also a full page of rules guests had to follow which was very strange. The few good things were that the rooms were fairly clean, good air conditioning and our rooms had roomy balconies that faced the sea.

Fair priced hotel with the vibes and decoration from the 70’s. The town center was at a down the hill walking distance. We took a taxi back, because walking up to the hotel would be very difficult.

The only time I stayed in the hotel it was for 2 nights but those were superb. Personally, I love the old Yugo chic and if the hotel would've been renovated, it would be a true gem and much more expensive. The location is good - away from all the chaos of Split. Free parking was available. The staff is one of the friendliest I have encountered down the coast. The rooms are simple, yet clean and offer AC. The buffet breakfast was lovely with quite extended offer of both retro choices such as fried hot dogs and savory French toast to more 'current' choices such as different kinds of oatmeal, fruit and yoghurt. Overall, would come back again for sure.
Ps. Haven't checked the beaches or other things the hotel had to offer.

Even though the hotel has a nice view of the sea and it looks ok, it still looks 70s style and on some areas the windows haven’t been changed since then. The rooms look good, but a little plain. Entire hotel could be modernised so it could look cleaner, more modern and welcoming for guests, automated and sustainable. It would be good if a reflective roof gets installed which would reflect sunlight instead of absorbing it which would reduce the temperature of the roof’s surface and minimise heat transfer into the building which would also minimise the need for air conditioning reducing both carbon footprints and energy bills. The parking lot could also be refreshed with new pavement, lighting and EV chargers can be added.

Hotel Zagreb is Yugoslav era heritage hotel. Made in tipical elegant marble, wood and glass style within, and pine forest, beaches and big teraces outside. Very friendly staff and much more than 3 stars. Only reason why its 2 stars is because Croatia's new law obligates min 18 square meters rooms and Zagreb has 17,5 square meter rooms.
Best 2 stars in the world. Hopefully soon Croatia recognizes, renovates and cherishes this beautiful Yugoslav era heritage hotel.

More like a hostel than hotel. No drinks or food available after 3pm, very limited breakfast and not the cleanest of places. Any if you're vegan then don't come here. But very close to the coast with good views (if your room is facing the right way...)

Great location near city bus. Nice hotel but some services not operating due to off-season. Good breakfast, broken showerhead in bathroom.

The hotel has potential to be a nice place BUT ... the first thing that you encounter when entering the lobby is the moldy, musty smell. The lady at reception was pleasant at check in. It went downhill quickly from there. The corridors are dark leading to the elevator. The room was poorly cleaned when we entered. The previous customer bill was still on the desk. Dried blood spot on the sheets. Spots on the carpet and walls. The trash can was not emptied from the previous person. The bathroom is tiny. The shower was like using a garden hose. Poor water pressure and the holes of shower head are clogged. GROSS!!! Is the only word to describe this place.

We didn’t find any available room in vicinity, but they had one, and it was much better then expected. Hotel has 2 stars but the room was updated, so it worth higher rating. Also breakfast had a variety selection. Clean, AC worked great, nice view and very friendly staff.
