Very Disappointing Experience

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel.

I already paid the full amount for my stay at the time of booking. However, when I arrived at the hotel at check-in time, I was asked to pay an additional €400 deposit. I was very surprised and asked what the deposit was for. The staff simply told me, “This is hotel policy.”

This policy was never clearly informed during the booking process. If I had known in advance that I would need to pay an extra €400 deposit, I would never have chosen to stay at this hotel. Most travelers carry money according to their travel budget after already paying hotel charges in full. Who carries an extra €400 just in case? It is completely unreasonable.

Since I had already paid the full room charge, I was stuck. If I decided not to stay, they would not refund my payment. If I stayed, I had no choice but to pay the additional €400 deposit. This felt extremely unfair and frustrating.

On top of that, their restaurant payment system was very inconvenient. When I had dinner at the hotel restaurant, I was not allowed to pay directly at the restaurant. Instead, I was told to go to the reception counter to settle the bill. I have never experienced such an inconvenient system in any hotel before.

They also required guests to inform reception in advance if we wanted room service or planned to dine at the restaurant. This is very unusual and unnecessary.

Housekeeping service was also poor. During my 5-night stay:
• For 2 days, they did not replace the drinking water.
• One day, they did not refill the coffee.
• Used towels were folded and placed back instead of being replaced with clean ones.

This is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel, especially one that charges full price upfront.

Overall, the policies are unclear, the service is unprofessional, and the experience was extremely disappointing. I will not return and do not recommend this hotel to others.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at Le Premier. From the moment I arrived, everything felt warm, professional, and welcoming. The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive, always ready to help with a smile.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The bed was very cozy, and after multiple days of travel, it felt like the perfect place to relax and recharge. The ambiance throughout the hotel is elegant yet calming.

The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city while still enjoying a peaceful atmosphere inside the hotel.

Overall, the service, cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

A wonderful hotel. 5 star experience, from the room, the staff, the spa and the culinary delights. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Nice and clean hotel with excellent service. Front desk was very helpful and recommended good eating places and helped take care of the car. Parking was very convenient just out in front of the hotel.

The staff were so polite and helpful. The breakfast could be better and bed could be more comfortable. But generally the room was so spacious and clean.

Stayed for one night only but the hotel is a very good heritage property.

Great hotel situated in a really good part of Zagreb. The staff are very nice and there is also a good selection of facilities available to use too

Fantastic location. Sauna is available to book for free for private use. The best thing was the massage - it was really good. The only issue was the air condition which was changed to heating during the time we visited (summer transitioning to autumn) so it was a little warm at night. Unless you took the garden facing room, the road/ trams noises will be uncomfortable to leave the windows open through the night. Having said, the staff service were good.
