Hostel Day and Night in Zagreb

BED BUGS in at least three of the main rooms, no mention of it and bed bugs are incredibly contagious, they wash the sheets and just hang up them to dry in your room or main room, not checking at all for any signs of life or taking any precautions for reinfection. Rooms 2,3 and 6 have confirmed sightings and he hostel is small so it is likely they are in all rooms. If you don't know anything about them you should do some research. On top of that this place has no security aside from a receptionist. No locks on individual rooms, no keys provided for lockers.

This hostel has a HORRENDOUS infestation of bed bugs, which the management refuse to deal with. On July 18th 2016 approximately 20 guests demanded to be refunded and/or rehoused but the staff refused to do anything, which resulted in the police being called. A report was filed on the place and Health and Safety authorities have been notified and will be visiting.
After spending the entire night awake with many other guests, I then had to take all my belongings to be heat cleaned as there were visible bed bugs on my backpack and clothes.
THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!

UPDATE: it's now 7am with no sleep last night for 15 guests after we discovered a bed bug infestation in ALL the rooms. We called the police and filed a police report. The police were reluctant to until the receptionist lied and said we all paid by card (W didn't, it's cash only...) which is why he couldn't refund us, and he also said he could not give us receipts which the officer yelled at him about until he did. Thankfully the officers were professional and spoke English. Overall a ridiculous experience and police are also going to file with the health and tourism departments because they were so disgusted.

Original review: I arrived late to Zagreb by bus and was happy to find a room at 10pm. At about 11pm and woman came out of room 1 saying she found a bug on her bed. Then 3 more guests came out of that room complaining about pile of bugs. They were moved to other rooms, which by then all the guests were checking for themselves. Bugs were found in every room, on the walls, on the wood bunks, and on the sheets of people who ha slept early.we all decided not to sleep the entire night and still the receptionist and owner refused to own up to the problem or refund us!! When speaking to the owner on the phone he told me "mosquitoes bite too but you live with those bites. It's the same with bed bug bites."
