Absolutum Wellness Hotel in Prague

The hotel itself is quite good; however, one situation completely ruined our stay.
We booked a half-board option, which included breakfast and dinner, and we used it during our three-day stay. After breakfast, we prepared a few sandwiches and took some sweets with us, as we went sightseeing every day right after breakfast. We prepared the food openly and left it on the table. The staff saw this every day, yet no one informed us that this behavior was inappropriate.
Unfortunately, we were not aware that taking food outside was considered ill-mannered. It was our first time staying at a hotel with a half-board option - normally, we rent apartments. Additionally, my girlfriend works in hospitality and chose this hotel mainly because of the spa facilities, as she needed to relax.
On the last day, during breakfast, the manager came to me and said that taking food outside was “not normal,” repeating this several times. I explained that we did not know about this rule and that I was surprised, as eating more food in the restaurant itself would not have been an issue. I also said that I understood and respected the rules and was willing to pay an extra fee for the breakfast. He agreed and walked away.
However, for the next 15 minutes, he stood at the front of the room and stared at us throughout the remainder of our meal. My food was ready, but the sandwiches I had prepared for my girlfriend contained only salad, and I felt uncomfortable going to get cheese because of the way he was watching us.
After we finished eating, I approached him and asked whether he wanted to calculate the fee based on what we had taken. Instead of answering, he again said that our behavior was “not normal.” I repeated that we simply did not know the rule and that we never hid what we were doing - all restaurant staff had seen it over several days and no one had said anything.
He then said that the fee would be multiplied by the number of days of our stay and stated the price in a very arrogant manner. I agreed to pay everything to cover what we had taken. At that point, he said: “Maybe it’s normal in your country, but not here or in the rest of the world.” This comment felt deeply inappropriate and insulting, as it judged our behavior based on our nationality.
What made the situation even worse was that despite my clear willingness to pay, he continued to monitor us until the end of the meal. If the issue was already resolved financially, there was no reason to treat us like suspects. The fee itself was relatively small for us - even if it had been several times higher, we would have agreed - so being treated like thieves over approximately 50 euros was extremely unpleasant.
This incident stayed with us for hours and completely ruined the rest of our day. We did not even eat the food we had prepared because we felt ashamed and treated like criminals. We went directly to a museum afterward, but we were unable to focus on the artwork due to how upset we were.
The hotel itself is nice, the whirlpool bath was great, and the staff - except for this one manager - were professional and helpful. Unfortunately, this single situation ruined our entire impression of the place and overshadowed all the positive aspects of our stay.

Where to start…parking ramp cannot read the car plate, room card stopped working 3 times in a 7 night stay, room phone didn’t work neither, the wellness is also small.
Regarding the breakfast, it’s pretty usual, nothing special, every day basically the same, it gets boring after a while. And if you have any sort of ALLERGY, please DO NOT stay in this hotel. Restaurant staff has no clue about allergies, they don’t even know a difference between Gluten and Lactose.
I would think twice before staying in this hotel, I think you can find a considerable amount of better hotels in Prague in the same price range.
