Spindlerova bouda in Spindleruv Mlyn

Restaurant is a scam, unless you have Czech Crowns in cash. Card is not accepted. Exchange rate PLN / CZK is 45% worse than in any bank. We've paid in EUR and the waiter miscounted the rest. In her favor of course.

Splinderova Bouda lies halfway along the trail from Szewnica to Śnieżka and seems like a natural spot to stop for a meal. But don’t be fooled! It’s a place where you can grab a beer, but don’t count on getting any food. My personal experience, confirmed by other guests, was as follows: 45 minutes after placing our order, we were informed that the waiter had never passed it on to the kitchen. But “now it will be ready soon.” That “soon” meant soup after another 30 minutes. And then came the news that the kitchen wouldn’t manage to prepare anything else and we wouldn’t be getting any more food. Unless we wanted beer. The entire staff seemed completely unfazed, making it clear this wasn’t just a one-off mistake but rather their standard way of operating. They even seemed annoyed that a customer might be upset after such an experience! Just a 10-minute walk further is the Odrodzenie mountain hut, where guests are treated much better. I sincerely advise you – don’t make the same mistake we did and give Splinderova Bouda a wide berth!

Be careful, when you order a meal. We received soups with a dirty used spoons. Cakes and drinks were good.
Don't believe the waiters, specially, when you speak Czech.
