Spa hotel IRIS in Karlovy Vary

Friendly, good rooms (we had a sunny balcony, which was a lovely extra), and interesting treatments included in our weekend. The rooms were quiet, very well laid out, and had an excellent bathroom layout. Sauna area was small but never crowded, pool was decent sized for a small hotel, and again never crowded. 1/2 pension deal was good, food fresh & friendly staff. Our first morning was marred by 1 hour of pumping noises (pool?) between 07.40-08.40, which wasn’t the wake up call we wanted, but it was a one off. Any issues we had were dealt with immediately, and always to our satisfaction. It’s a short walk downhill to the main town area, be prepared for the hill on the way back. Book car parking in advance, otherwise be prepared for a long walk to the 24 hour carparks. That all worked out fine - I needed to walk off some excellent Czech meals :-D

A pleasant stay despite cold in the rooms. A nicely heated bathroom! Great wellness, bubble bath and massages, very responsive attendants. A swimming pool where we could spend ages. Fascinating catering and extremely helpful dinning room staff. Knowledge of Russian helpful.

Excellent food and behavior of the staff, everything clean and nice. Very good and quiet position of the hotel in the spa resort, close parking places, even the amount is limited. Large selection of spa treatments, 24/7 availability of reception

Our stay at your hotel left us with a wonderful impression. Many thanks to Jana Homolová, DiS. Reservation & Sales manager for her patience and professional work when placing an order. For the attention given to us and the desire to always help the wonderful Renata and Victoria and for the delicious food to all the kitchen staff. I would like to note the daily and thorough cleaning of our room. But unfortunately, some medical procedures leave much to be desired - I mean water procedures in the bath, where in 15 minutes the water becomes very cold and no one comes to check, and this is so critical that my wife fell ill from hypothermia, which, of course, spoiled the holiday. There was no kettle in our room and at the reception desk they asked us for 5 euros per day of rent, although our friends had a kettle in their room without paying. In a four-star hotel it is strange to see the absence of shampoo, body cream and hair conditioner. These are, of course, small things, but all of this creates a feeling of comfortable rest.

The spa hotel is a conveniently located place with a cozy ambiance. The staff is helpful. The spa is small but OK for a refreshing dip into the pool in the afternoon. We had a room on the 4th floor, which turned quite hot during the day. Though the weather was very hot at that time, it cooled down during the night, so it was quite OK for us. Still, we later found out that the hotel offers air-conditioned rooms on the 5th floor for the same price. So make sure to get a room on the top floor. The breakfast offers a variety of different kinds of food. Especially the availability of traditional Czech sausages was the highlight for us. Make sure to reserve a parking lot for your stay. The hotel offers a limited number of parking lots in front of the house. As parking in general is very complicated in this town, you might end up using one of the carparks at the outskirts, if you don't reserve a place. Book your places in advance!

The hotel was clean, well equipped, neat. Staff friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast at a very good level. The room was very well lit, including a large portable standing lamp, and equipped with a desk large enough for PC work. Just minor flaws.

Food is good, Beds are a little too soft though. Great location
