The resort is set in a beautiful historical building in the historical centre of Karlovy vary, overlooking the gardens of Antonin Dvorak, close to the colonnades with healing springs. The hotel is part of the Association of hotels and restaurants of the Czech Republic. Guests can take relaxing strolls in Dvorak Park which is close by. Parking is located 400 metres from the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel during the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Unfortunately and unknown to us, the rooms are on the side of the hotel facing the main square and every single night of the festival there was a DJ set that lasted until 3 am. The rooms on that side have no sound insulation so it was impossible to sleep in the bedroom until 3 am. Around 1 am on the first night my partner made a nest in the bathroom and slept there the next 5 nights. We ended up leaving two nights earlier than planned and mossing the last two days of the festival because sleep was impossible. The hotel did not offer any refund and we did not ask.
KVIFF is only 10 days each summer and I'm sure it's less noisy the other 50 weeks a year. The central location and elevator (not always certain in Europe) were very convenient.
No AC or fan so I suspect the rooms get VERY hot later in the summer but we got a break in the heat so were able to keep the windows closed until 3 am when the DJ sets ended.
Great Balneo with amazing staff.
High level cuisine with friendly and empathetic staff to disabled people. We really appreciate it! In particular, we would highlight the cleanliness of the hotel, which was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is very old & already out of standard its worse than the hostel. Excluding the facilities.
Photos shown are totally different from the reality.
TV size is smaller then my notebook.
When you are lying on bed I'm sure you can't enjoy at all.
Swimming pool or Spa facilities opening time at 13:00 to 20:30 what the xxxxx?!
Inside the room there are no freah air.
Window or balcony have to be opened during the rainy day.
The bed is like second hand bed, the pillow is bad.
Also in the morning, the chief in omelets section is avoiding to cook...
