We had a great stay at Grand Palladium Select Bávaro in Punta Cana. The resort is beautiful, the beach is amazing, and there’s lots to do. The service was excellent throughout our stay.
One staff member in particular, Luisito, really stood out. He was always friendly, helpful, and made sure everything went smoothly for us calling us his Canadian family. He helped arrange transportation and was always checking in to see if we needed anything.
Luisito also had a fun little greeting he would do when he saw us a cheerful “cucú!” which always made us smile. It became something we looked forward to hearing when we saw him travelling around the resort in his cart.
Staff like Luisito really make a vacation memorable. Thank you for a great experience!

We had a wonderful stay and were very happy with the entire hotel complex. Everything was beautiful and well maintained, and we truly felt comfortable throughout our stay.

I had an excellent experience with Jose from Customer Service. He was extremely friendly, courteous, and genuinely helpful throughout our interaction. He went above and beyond to assist us — not only answering our questions, but also recommending wonderful spots to eat.

We arrived late in evening, staff is limited but we were able to get our room quickly. At the start, we received room on first floor and was very nice, renovated and clean but a few cockroach in our room. We were able to switch room and get another one on the second floor. The guest service Victor and Lisbeth were amazing, they worked with us and our other friends to get us a new room. The other party in our group had hot water issues. If you take your time to explain and you are open minded, you will have a memorable experience. Bravo Victor and Lisbeth for your time and willingness to help and make our stay at Grand Palladium Bavaro a good stay. We recommend this hotel for the beautiful beach of bavaro.

We’ve just returned from a week-long family holiday at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana Hotel, Resort & Spa, and honestly, we had a fantastic time.i didn’t want to leave!
The food was great, and I genuinely don’t understand some of the reviews saying otherwise. The lunch options were especially amazing—rice and peas, stew chicken, barbecue chicken… all well seasoned, full of flavour, and tasted like real Caribbean food, not just salt and pepper. The only restaurant I didn’t really enjoy was the Japanese, but everything else more than made up for it.
I especially want to thank Damelis Ana, and Cheyanne at Guest Services. Damelis in particular was incredible—so friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. We were celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday and had upgraded our room, but there was a bit of a mishap and the room wasn’t right at first. That was the only disappointing part of the stay. However, by the next day everything was sorted, and thanks to Guest Services (especially Damelis), we were very happy in the end.
The weather was great, the vibe was great, and the staff were so warm and welcoming. It really just felt like home. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.

Wife broke her leg at the pool by slipping on tiles around the pool, still in a cast and will need to relearn how to walk according to the Doctor!!

We arrived at 12:45 pm and couldn’t check in early because housekeeping was still cleaning the room. They handed us bracelets for the buffet and told us to wait. We returned to the lobby at 3 pm, but the room wasn’t ready until 3:30. The bellboy escorted us, only to find staff still dealing with an “issue” and they promised we’d be let in soon. After a 15‑minute wait we were told we’d be moved to a different room. At check‑in I asked to reserve a table at a restaurant for the next day; the staff advises that since I booked with *******, Edwin, would be my concierge and would handle it, but I never heard from him—unlike other resorts that usually WhatsApp. Housekeeping only made the beds and changed towels; they didn’t sweep, mop, or wipe down counters daily. At the buffet I saw cooks and waitstaff arguing. The waitress/waiters were inattentive, often not offering water or drinks until we were done with our food. We had a sofa bed with no blanket; when I requested one I was given just a sheet. When I inquired about New Year’s Eve dining, I was told we’d have to use the buffet. No one mentioned that a reservation was required for the gala‑style buffet, and I only found out as a line was forming outside the buffet at 10 am that morning.

Room had water leaking.was fixed after we complained. It had glass walls in bathroom. Not apt for a family resort. Front desk did not wrist broken wrist tag. Too much discrimination amongst staff for budget resorts.

The customer service was abysmal—85% staff members were consistently rude, unhelpful, and downright unpleasant. Instead of being greeted with warmth or hospitality. The staff’s attitude was far from professional; they seemed more interested in rushing us away than assisting us with any questions or concerns. On the first day, we had no clean washcloth, no pillowcase, and no sheets. Went to the front desk three different times before we received clean sheets and rags four hours later.
The food was another major disappointment. It was consistently bland, poorly prepared. My husband got food poisoning. We only had the opportunity to try one restaurant within the resort ; fortunately, we had to eat at the buffet for all our meals. We were told all restaurants were fully booked and had no available reservations. Overall, the resort fell short of even the most basic expectations for customer service and comfort. It was a frustrating, disheartening experience that left us wishing we had chosen a different destination. I would not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing or enjoyable vacation. Save your money and time. there are far better options out there that genuinely value their guests and provide quality service.

I've been to this restaurant before during my last stay in 2014 where we ate here almost daily but during this stay it seems this restaurant has gone downhill. Service was poorly reluctant as whenever I asked for something the waitress either didn't want to get it (passion fruit juice) or they were out of it (habichuelas). What I was able to nag into getting was pretty tasty though. Especially since the resort food was horrible.

BEST restaurant that we visited while there. We went here a few times! You get a free appetizer with every meal and the meals....are phenomenal!!!! They give you so much too! Highly recommend! $10 fresh fish dishes - For the two of us it was always around $20-25. The people that work there are the kindest too! Each and everyone of them! Everyone has a hard time speaking English ANYWHERE you go in Punta Cana. But they made an effort - and the menus are translated into English for you.
