Miguel on the entertainment squad was an absolute hoot! He made our stay a fun one and he saught us out on multiple occasions to invite us to different activities, taught us some great dance moves, and was incredibly helpful with our random questions about what was going on that day. The rooms are as they appear in pictures on the site - dated. But the goal isn't to be in your room much anyways. The ocean water is not clear, so not the best for snorkeling but our stay was great - good food, good entertainment, good pools and GREAT drinks! While our stay was good overall, Miguel is the reason we will be back! The resort is incredibly lucky to have such an exceptional employee!

Rooms are very tired and need a long over due update! Also the food was absolutely awful!!!!!! The special restaurants where you had to make a reservation to eat there never had openings. We tried to make reservations in advance for the whole week we were there and it was always booked full so we were forced to eat on the buffet for every meal and it was terrible!!!! We will NEVER go back to this resort again!!! It was such a disappointment!!!! First vacation we have ever been on that we lost weight!!

From day one she brought nonstop energy, genuine warmth, and that rare vibe that instantly makes you feel like you belong at the resort. Whether it was activities, shows, or just checking in to make sure everyone was having a great time, she did it all with real passion and a big smile.

My husband and I, along with our friends, were vacationing at Barcelo Bavaro Beach this December. We just returned and can’t wait till next year to go there again. This is our 12th time in the same resort. We absolutely love it. The beach is amazing, it’s in the top 5 best beaches in the world, everyone in the hotel staff works very hard to make your stay pleasant, worry free and enjoyable. The food is very good, good selection for everyone’s taste, very pleasant ambience of the hotel, clean, tasteful and very relaxing.
I would like to say special thanks to Evelyn Ramirez, customer service manager, who went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Much appreciated! Thank you!

I really enjoyed the adults-only side of Bávaro Beach in Punta Cana and stayed for a four-day quick getaway. I absolutely loved how compact the adults-only section is—there is very little walking required, and the atmosphere felt relaxed without being crowded. The staff were exceptional, and I noticed that many of the service team spoke English very well.

A special shout-out to Ramon, who truly made our short stay memorable. He checked us in and took excellent care of us throughout our visit. This was one of the best check-in experiences I’ve had, and I travel often.

Pro tip: take advantage of the other resorts connected to this property. They offer great variety and are easy to access.

We had read mixed reviews about the food and primarily dined at the main buffet, which was consistently good. Some of the à la carte restaurants could improve their food quality, but this did not take away from the overall experience.

Overall, I would return in a heartbeat. Loved the gorgeous beach! 🌊☀️

I had a wonderful experience at Barceló Bávaro. The food has so much flavour, it’s always fresh and there is different served cuisines each night. Rooms are a little basic but they have all the necessities. The entertainment staff are very friendly and make sure you are included and having fun, Miguel is the best he is very energetic and friendly. The shows are entertaining each nice. The resort overall has a very relaxed upbeat vibe. I highly recommend.

Good day! We booked your hotel for 3 adult men. The system gave DBL+Extra, but the tour operator says that there will be no extra bed. We also called the reception, they said that there will be an extra bed! Could you give us an exact answer, deadlines are running out!

I am staying at this hotel for the 3rd time in August 2021, before that I was in August 2019. The good news is that the pandemic has not changed the hotel for the worse, everything is just as good here and everything works at a good level. The hotel is built in a good location, very solidly and efficiently, everything is in its place, the hotel does not age. The territory with neatly trimmed lawns and neat wide paths made of limestone, in the slabs of which you can see prehistoric mollusks, it is mesmerizing 😎👍 It is a pleasure to walk along them and the distances here are large. You can also take a ride on the little train that runs around the entire area, but I want to walk so that at least some abundant food does not affect the figure ... In general, the beach, food and spa are not bad, everything is good here for the third day, the only thing that surprised me was the lack of mango in the mango season (August) But I was pleased with the scallops in garlic sauce, very tasty 😎👍 About the beach and the sargassum seaweed is abundant here, so this is a normal situation for August, I hope they will soon scoop them out and everything will be wonderful! I recommend the hotel to both adults (there is a part of the hotel 18+) and families with children, there is even a water park with slides and children's water playgrounds. But the main thing is to take the Premium Level and the rooms will be good and meals in the best restaurants and spa without restrictions and surcharges. If you have any questions, write, I will tell you everything, I will advise the best in the Dominican Republic, I have been on holiday 5 times, 4 of them in a row, every August, except for the 2020 pandemic year (I really hope and wish us not to get sick and to visit the best resort in the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana, more often) P.S. I was really looking forward to the opening of the Dominican Republic after the pandemic, I arrived on the second flight on August 11 and I am very happy!!! I recommend 😎

Excellent hotel. White sand. Large green area. Huge restaurant. Peacocks roam the area. The lobby bar is open until 1am (this is of course a minus), but very tasty cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. In the lobby there is a shop with souvenirs, alcohol, coffee, goodies and rum (I highly recommend the local Barcelo). In the evenings there is a good entertainment program. Many will like the absence of children (the hotel is 18+). Rooms with king size beds. In the rooms there is coffee and a mini bar with beer, soda and snacks. In general, you will not regret it. Of the minuses: the prices for the hotel are high and there is also a seaweed season. But otherwise, paradise!
