It offers 730 elegant rooms spread across multiple buildings, including family-friendly zones and an adult-only Diamond Club™ area with exclusive restaurants, pools, and beach access. Guests can enjoy nine diverse restaurants serving international, Mediterranean, Texan-Mexican, Asian, and grill dishes, plus a paid signature dining experience. The resort features a wide range of amenities such as a spa and wellness center, fitness center, casino, water sports including snorkeling and kayaking, and free Wi-Fi throughout. Children and teens have dedicated clubs and babysitting services on request. Location

Royalton Bavaro is situated on Highway Macao Playa Arena Gorda, about 21 km from Punta Cana International Airport and 50 km from the city of Higüey. The resort has a private sandy beach just 10 meters away with complimentary umbrellas, loungers, and towels. Nearby local dining options include Restaurante Gourmet El Olivo, only 129 meters away, and Don Pablo French Gourmet Restaurant at 212 meters. The hotel’s position on the first beach line provides immediate beach access, while other notable attractions like the casino and spa are onsite. Arena Gorda Beach is 500 meters from the hotel’s main complex, making it easy to enjoy the coastline.

I got food poisoning and was sick for two days because of it.

Housekeeping is simply awful! Whether I left a tip or not, absolutely nothing was cleaned. Instead, the lady helped herself to the drinks in my minibar.

Excellent service. People working there were always very helpful whenever assistance was needed. Food was tasty, and the room we booked (suite with swim out) was awesome.

The place is very big, so be aware that there will be quite a bit of walking to get to the lobby (where most restaurants are). When getting ready to leave, you can ask for the bellboys to get the baggage with you back to the lobby in one of the golf cars that they use to move around.

I had a great time with my family there. My only problem was at the checkout. When we were coming in, the lady at the front desk named "Claudia" put a bracelet key in my baby's hand even though they knew that the baby is not going to open the door. When we were leaving, the baby lost the bracelet because her hands are too small for it. She forced us to pay $50 for it. She told us that she won't check us out until we paid the money. She almost made us lose our flight. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she told us there was no supervisor around to assist us. Really! She knew it was going to fall from the baby's hand and she put it on purpose. Be careful with them because they're all about money.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your stay. This web site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't regret it.

We loved our vacation here! Everything was wonderful. The staff are so nice and friendly. Everyone works hard and goes above and beyond to allow an enjoyable experience. The resort was very well maintained, clean and beautiful. The pools and lazy river were awesome. We would definitely return in the future.

The two biggest highlights were the service from Alexander The Great and Esteban at our private cabana. These two were absolutely awesome and it made up for the terrible service from the front desk. The resort itself is gorgeous and has everything you need right there in one spot. The biggest downfall here is the front desk. They would never answer the phone when you would call down to the desk. They put us in the wrong room and it took 2 days for them to reluctantly fix it. Gorgeous facility, amazing service from Alexander The Great, amazing service from Esteban, but that front desk really made for some frustrating times when you’re shelling out that much money for vacation.

The place is beautiful. Everything was going perfect. I am from the United States. Went out to Dominican republic to spend a couple days with my family That lives in Dominican at the resort. We made reservations at the Italian restaurant. The manager that night Hector. Told us we cannot sit together you had to sit separately they could not accommodate a table of 10 people. But everywhere you looked there was tables of 10 people but they were all white. So what I’ve come to realize is the Dominicans that work there are racist to the Dominicans that come there to spend money. Sorry to say but if you’re Dominican you live in Dominican republic and you have money don’t go here they’re going to treat you differently than the white people. I approached Hector and told him my concern he was very rude walked away from me told me this is not his problem. So once again if you’re Dominican think twice about going here they’re not gonna treat you like they do the other foreigners.

This resort was beautiful, clean, and very professional. I travelled with my family and we all had a blast. The lobby was so spacious, the rooms were very clean, and lots of options for food. The food was amazing; they also have this coffee shop that makes the perfect spot for snacks and drinks. The beach was so clean; the only problem was the vicious waves that made it hard to swim in.
Overall this hotel was perfect and I highly recommend it when visiting the Dominican.

+ The rooms are beautiful. The drinks are strong and amazing. The food in general was okay, the dinner restaurants gave better options. There was more than one egg station, which if you travel a lot you know that morning line is .... long. The coffee at the coffee and ice cream shop was AMAZING!! The steakhouse was the best. Lunch was terrible. The food truck advertised many options but all available were burgers and fries. Very clean resort though (pools and rooms) Bottled water everywhere! The bar tenders were attentive and not just to those leaving tips lol. The lazy river was absolutely stunning and many options for people traveling with kids, definitely family oriented.
- Wish the food was better. Really didn’t eat much because I didn’t feel like eating burgers everyday. The beach was so relaxing but I’ve been to many other resorts in Punta Cana this was by far the worst in scenic views. So many people did not congregate there... I saw a lot of people walking further down to other resorts and hang out on those beaches. It was just filled entirely with seaweed and had probably a total of three palm trees. I’m sure they can clean that up if they really wanted to. The resorts pretty new, so I think they’re still working on a lot. No music by the pool bar... and that sucked many people had their own music. The actual pool bar played elevator music... not fun when you’re trying to have a good time and party. The main pool only seem to have the party going (music and bubbles) only on Saturday? I would wish to have music playing there more often, like the whole day perhaps? What’s so hard about putting on a speaker? And by music I mean Spanish music because I’m in DR not the states, let the bachata go! No Spanish food really. I mean they had some but being Spanish ... it tasted like boxed Spanish food rather than the real deal. Idk, I had an ok time but as I was leaving I really didn’t feel sad... you know the feeling you get when you had such a great time at a resort in a country you don’t want to leave and you’re just heartbroken it has come to an end... yea... didn’t feel that.

Excelent restaurant with excelent food and very friendly and professional staff. The best restaurant in all the complex.
Try the chef's special selection!
Check the menu here. It's hard to find it elsewhere and the hotel usually doesn't provide you with it in advance.

This place is mistake. From entrance we wait 25 min to get water. 30min for order and next 10 for wine. When I order 2glases Champaign waiter told me it's finish. After 5 min 2 tables around get campaign without problem. You must wait really long for food and when you get it you must ask for fork and knife to eat. One big disaster. Totally NOT recommend. And they don't know what is gourmet restaurant so maybe they should remove this from name.
