Reviews
After returning home, I discovered that jewelry I had carefully stored inside a pouch within my makeup and skincare bag was missing. These were not items left out in the open — they were placed בתוך my personal belongings, which indicates that someone went through my things.
During my stay, my sunglasses also disappeared. At the time, I assumed I had misplaced them and even checked with Lost & Found, but nothing was reported. Given what I discovered later, I now believe those were stolen as well.
This situation is very distressing. Beyond the monetary value, the jewelry had sentimental importance as they were gifts. What is most concerning is the lack of security — guests should feel safe leaving their belongings in their room without fear of someone searching through their personal items.
I have contacted the hotel and requested an investigation, but I want to make other travelers aware of this experience.
I strongly recommend exercising caution if staying at this resort.

The best part, without a doubt, is the beach: wide, soft sand, turquoise water, and a truly beautiful view. Perfect for relaxing, long walks, and spending the whole day by the ocean. The location is excellent and the resort feels comfortable to move around.
Overall, the service was very good: friendly staff, quick to help, and always with a good attitude. The facilities are well maintained, with several dining options and plenty of areas to relax. The food was better than expected, especially at the à la carte restaurants—well presented dishes and great taste.
Ideal for solo vacationing, couples or families looking for a large all-inclusive resort with an amazing beach and a calm atmosphere. I would definitely come back.
We stayed at the Grand Bavaro Princess over the holidays from December 24–31, 2025. Overall, it is a beautiful resort with many positives, but there are definitely areas that need improvement.
Pros
The resort is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained.
Rooms are spacious, modern, and comfortable.
The agriculture and animal sanctuary is a standout feature — peacocks, swans, turtles, and parrots roaming the grounds make the resort feel unique and special.
It’s an extra-large resort with many restaurant options and lots to explore.
The cappuccino and crêpe bar was our favorite spot — the best cappuccino on the resort and a perfect place to start and end the day.
The beach is stunning and well kept.
Buffet breakfast was the best of the three meals and very consistent.
Overall, the food quality is good.
Some bartenders were fantastic — especially at the Del Mar Beach Café, where service was friendly and fun.
This resort is huge so get ready to walk or take the train.
Cons
Guest service is not very service-oriented. Lady at Guest Services did a great job trying to resolve some issues, overall the staff did not seem focused on making the guest truly happy.
We had several issues with our room, and the response felt minimal rather than proactive.
There is a noticeable language barrier with many staff members, which made communication difficult.
Ordering at the à la carte restaurants was often frustrating — orders were frequently incorrect or not what we requested. Because of this, we eventually opted out of most restaurants and relied more on the buffet.
Nightly entertainment was okay, but we’ve experienced better shows at other Punta Cana resorts.
Overall
The Grand Bavaro Princess is a gorgeous resort with excellent grounds, great rooms, and a beautiful beach. It has a lot of potential and many things to love. However, improvements are needed in service quality, communication, and restaurant accuracy.
Despite the drawbacks, I would still recommend the resort, especially for its beauty and atmosphere — just with the understanding that some service improvements are necessary to truly elevate the experience.
Staff are the star of the hotel. They are very friendly, all of them smiling and very helpful in every situation. I never seen happy employees like them in any other sector.
Resort is massive but they sort out everything for your comfort to avoid the tiredness. There are cute train stops, they help you travel inside the resort. There are buffet, restaurants, bars close to the beach, to the pools and to the rooms. So you can access to food and drinks easily.
Beach was the cleanest of Bavaro and everything is in order. If there are seaweeds, hotel cleaning them very quick with the tractor.
Food wise, above the all inclusive standards and drinks are really the best.
Room was very comfy and big enough but old style stone makes humidity smell sometimes. But humidity didn’t effect to our stay.
We stayed 2 weeks and everything was fantastic highly recommend it.
