Advantages: Very close to the Egyptian Museum, Tahrir Square, and the Nile River; just a short walk away, very convenient, no other transportation needed. Overall, it's acceptable.

Disadvantages: Slow internet speed, terrible soundproofing; the neighbors were chatting until midnight and even into the early morning.

Pre-check-in note: The hotel's door sign is not very noticeable, so pay close attention to it, as there are other hotels with similar signs nearby.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend

This hotel was a complete disaster, and I strongly believe it should not be listed on Trip.com.

First, the location felt very unsafe—especially for tourists. There were people sleeping in the hotel’s entryway, which immediately gave a bad impression. The photos shown on the booking site are extremely misleading. When we arrived by Uber, I was shocked by both the surrounding area and the condition of the hotel entrance. It was dirty and poorly maintained.

Second, the cleanliness was unacceptable. When we entered our room, the bed sheets were covered in hair, as if they had not been changed after the previous guest. It looked like someone simply pulled the covers over dirty sheets. We had to request new sheets, and even then, it seemed like service was only provided after giving a tip.

Additionally, there were virtually no amenities. The refrigerator in the room was filthy and unusable. Overall, the room did not meet even basic standards of hygiene or comfort.

We seriously considered checking out within five minutes of arriving.

I would not recommend this hotel to any traveler, especially tourists expecting a safe and clean stay this is the actual building of the hotel not what you see in the picture

For this price, don't expect too much. Cleanliness is fine, just a bit old. The owner is very welcoming. It's a short walk to the GO bus station, making it a good transit point in Cairo. If you're traveling alone and don't have high expectations, this is an excellent choice.

I forgot to take pictures of the room, only the entrance and breakfast, as shown in the pictures. The hotel is on the sixth floor of this building. I recommend taking the elevator up, as it's small and requires manual opening. The building itself is very run-down. The first time I walked up, I thought I had stumbled into a condemned building. Let's start with the pros:

The staff were all very welcoming, whether it was for check-in or preparing breakfast, they were all easygoing. Although breakfast was simple, it was acceptable during Ramadan. Even though it's next to the road, I stayed in a room further inside, which was very quiet.

Now for the cons, trying to be as objective as possible:

The room was quite old. The sound of doors closing nearby was very loud. There were no disposable slippers, no disposable toothbrushes, no shampoo or shower gel, no tissues, and no hairdryer in the room, only a bar of soap. Luckily, I had brought all my own. They don't provide bottled water in the room; you have to go to the restaurant to get water yourself. Although the location is near the old museum, it's fine during the day, but at night, traffic gets very bad, and it's difficult to find a taxi. Considering the price, I can only say it's up to individual discretion.

Finally, a complaint about Trip.com customer service. I found the building but didn't notice which floor it was on, and it wasn't written on the app. So I walked up several flights of stairs inside, getting more and more scared as I went. There was no one around, and it was so dilapidated. Frightened, I quickly contacted customer service to ask what floor it was on, explaining that I couldn't make calls with my data-only SIM card, the hotel wasn't registered on WhatsApp so I couldn't contact them, my phone was almost out of battery, and there were many stray dogs roaming around, and I was alone and very scared. What did Trip.com customer service do? They sent me the address and hotel phone number again and told me to contact them myself! Are you serious? Didn't you read what I just wrote? If I could contact them myself, why would I come to you? What kind of customer service is this? Can't you be more professional?

The receptionist was very friendly, and I really appreciated the 24-hour reception. They were very helpful even when I arrived at around 3am due to a delayed flight on a tour.

You can use the Egyptian-style elevator.

The room is spacious and clean.

There's plenty of hot water. The drainage is a little poor, but it was within acceptable limits.

Breakfast was bread, rice, and coffee, but it was simple and delicious.

The location was great. It was convenient that restaurants, sweet shops, a supermarket, and the subway station were all within walking distance.

I'd like to stay here again if I have the opportunity to visit Egypt.

The manager is very strict about management, so you can stay with peace of mind. When I had trouble figuring out how to use the elevator, the staff quickly instructed other staff members to help me. I tried to take an Uber taxi to the airport, but they were scamming me and kept jacking up the fare. Another staff member quickly went outside and helped me by telling me to catch a taxi on the street. I had given up on the high price, but it was actually cheaper than Uber Comfort. This was a valuable experience during my trip to Egypt. While the elevator and facilities are a bit basic, the hotel is clean, safe, and adequate for a stay. All the staff were very friendly (they didn't even seem to want a tip), and the boy who guided me downstairs was also very helpful. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for breakfast, but I highly recommend this hotel as it's a trustworthy and valuable option in Egypt.

I stayed at this hotel again after returning from Hurghada, mainly because of its convenience. The receptionist was as welcoming as ever, and his "welcome back" was just right. A very handsome young man at the front desk also showed me to my room. I booked a single room, which was a bit small and cramped, but it had a private bathroom for easy showering. I tried the Lebanese and Egyptian restaurants near the hotel, both of which were quite good.

The room isn't big, but it's just right for one person. I love it! The General Crab owner, to put it bluntly, is someone who's about to leave—he's all about attraction. No tutorial needed. The bright colors are so appealing!

This was the No. 1 accommodation I stayed at during my solo trip! First of all, it was very clean, the toilet and shower were separate, and it had hot water! The staff member was a kind and adorable old man! I was so happy I was able to relax! If I'm staying in Cairo again, I'll definitely stay here! It was so comfortable that I even asked to stay multiple nights! The location was great, and I found it pretty quickly! It's on the 6th floor! I'm afraid of elevators, which are a common Egyptian thing, so I used the stairs!
