Overall, it's not a bad hotel, but the service is far from customer-oriented. After checking out at 12 PM, they immediately cut off your wristbands and internet access; there's no guest Wi-Fi, even though that seems like a basic minimum. However, you are entitled to a free lunch at the Italian restaurant, which is located at the end of another hotel (a 15-minute walk or about 8 minutes with the transfer, which runs every 10 minutes).

The hotel doesn't accept all US dollars (crumpled or slightly torn ones). Such dollars are common in the UAE, but not accepted at this Egyptian hotel. Ironically, they gave me back crumpled and old dollars as change, and even then, it wasn't enough. There was a hint that I wouldn't get the rest of the change. Luckily, I had money on my card, but I no longer felt like making any other purchases at the hotel. The system for beach towels, tied to the room number, is strange. You constantly have to wait for them to find the cards for your specific room.

Service during meals is quite fast; a couple of times, they even offered drinks. Sometimes, they might even clear your plate from under your nose if you're still eating or drinking and there's only a little left, without asking...

However, service at the bars is quite slow. There are some decent bartenders, but also some sleepy and disgruntled ones. There's even a drink menu, but the bartenders seem to be seeing it for the first time and claim nothing on it exists.

The food is tasty, though without exotic seafood. The grilled food is delicious, and there are various soups. Lots of vegetables and different meats. Fruits included guava, physalis, melon, apples, oranges, dates, and bananas. All the fruits were tasty and ripe. But the alcohol is a real pain; it's of terrible quality. We got seriously ill after trying it.

The rooms themselves are very tired. The bedding is pilled, and it was only changed once in 6 nights upon request, and even then, not completely. Towels were given out strangely; on the first day, there were two (for two people), and then one was added each day. We ended up with six towels. But the towels and linen were clean. Of course, there are no slippers or bathrobes in the room. The sports facilities in the hotel are generally clear, but it's completely unclear what's available at the front desk and what you can use. The sports hotel has a heated pool with slides. However, it lacks wind protection, so it's quite cold when there's a strong wind. Also, it states that pools and bars are open until sunset, but this is not true. They close an hour before sunset. On the beach, by the way, there's no wind, and you can always find sunbeds. Regarding the reef, I'd been to Makadi Bay before, and there were more fish there, but perhaps the weather played a role, because on the last day at this reef, I did manage to see many fish, both large and colorful.

A fruit platter was supposed to be included when booking the hotel, but this was not provided. A nice bonus was receiving a packed dinner (cheese sandwiches, water, an apple, and an orange) upon arrival at night. The entertainment team also does a good job; it feels like there's always some form of entertainment happening at the hotel. There's also a wellness center with a free sauna and jacuzzi. Soho Square is not far from the hotel, where you can take a walk and change the scenery. The hotel grounds are very green and beautiful, with many photo opportunities.

Overall, the impression is mostly positive, but the hotel needs to improve its service and attitude towards guests checking out (you want to return to a good hotel or recommend it to friends).

The front desk staff were amazing and went out of their way to provide even better service. However, I was too exhausted to enjoy it and ended up catching up on sleep in my room.

My friend and I stayed from November 15, 2025, for 13 days. We absolutely loved the hotel; the grounds are extensive, lush with greenery and flowers. The infinity pool is stunning. The location is excellent, right next to Soho Square. The coral reef is beautiful – we swam there every day for all 13 days and were amazed. The food was standard; there wasn't much variety, but there was always something to eat. A downside was the entertainment – the evening programs repeated every three days. The animation team did try their best to entertain guests during the day. Another issue was the shortage of sun loungers; you had to arrive early to find a spot in the shade. This is because both hotels share the same beach area. But overall, the hotel is superb – we're planning to go back again in April!

Great location friendly staff and good value for money for a few days. But my room was in the best condition but that’s okay but I come for only a few nights from another hotel.

We had a wonderful holiday with my friend! The hotel’s beach was clean and beautiful, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. We really enjoyed the breakfast too. The staff were amazing — super friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. They truly made us feel welcome. The hotel is close to the airport, which is very convenient, but a bit far from the city center. Still, everything else was perfect. Highly recommend!
