I am giving 5 stars as I liked a lot the hotel and the location - very close to the downtown area and the beaches, at the same time away from main stream of tourists

It is located in safe area, easy to get in in the evening. My room had a very nice view from the balcony. The front desk was super polite and helpful

Nice 4* hotel, near the center, 5-7 minutes walk from the Palais des Festivals. Tomorrow good Breakfast buffet, a selection of cheeses. Clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.

This is a great hotel in the center of Cannes - about a ten minute walk to the beach. The rooms are spacious and beautiful - like hotels used to be back when it was considered a luxury

And no extra benefits at the beach club like cheaper sunbeds or discount on food

The hotel was located perfectly close to Croisette beach, a short walk to Palais de festival and all the shopping area. The room was clean and there was a good gym

A Nespresso machine is in the room which was a rare find in most European hotels. Their beach club partner is La Plage Du Festival and is a short walk from the hotel

The breakfast was particularly good and we loved the different cakes (the pistachio cake was delicious, and so were the halves of passion fruit!) The bed was really comfortable and our balcony was large and beautiful - it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the scenery

We found the Grand Hotel by chance having been disappointed with a previous on line booking hotel. What a stroke of good fortune, the Grand Hotel is amongst the very best hotels we have ever stayed at

The location right on the delightful beach of Cala Rosa is idyllic, lovely soft sand, gentle warm water even in October, private pier with a boat service, the list goes on! The hotel facilities are equally superb, lovely gardens, beachside bar, elegant dining room with a good menu, professional friendly staff

The beach bar had comfortable beach chairs and the staff there so attentive. Definitely worth a visit, we will be going back

I would welcome more vegetables, bigger cheese selection and some hot meals like scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages. But we managed to find something to eat every morning. The restaurant left us with mixed feelings

Loved our time at Grand hotel du Lido in June. The staff was exceptional, the breakfasts complete and tasty. Maya, the owners dog, stole our heart. We would love to return for more than 3 days next time.

Refined and luxury hotel located on the seafront within walking distance of Argeles Sur Mer. The continental breakfast was the best we’ve ever had - beautifully laid out and everything you could want

The food was very good, but the staff were so chaotic. It took them ages to get the order and they finally messed up the meals. The pool was really nice and clean with enough sun beds around

After visiting Menton, it takes less than half an hour to walk back along the beach, which is quite convenient. The only drawback is that the room is relatively small, three people and two suitcases, it is a bit cramped

It is a bit away from the city center, but you can walk there in 15 minutes. There is a small and clean beach nearby. The rooms are small, but clean and cozy

It is an 11-minute walk from the station and the old town of Menton, where Zhong Chuxi's check-in wall is very popular. It takes less than half an hour to walk there

This is our favourite hotel in menton / French Riviera

  Breakfast was reasonable, we can’t complain. Staff were really nice and attentive. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Nice at Brice Garden, it’s within walking distance to the main train station, and to the main Nice centre

The tall slim male receptionist is amazingly friendly and he recommended and advice us not to deive to Cannes. He is absolutely right we did save a lot of time in traffic and the train ride is scenic and convenient

It was manageable but it was hard for my husband not to fall through the middle. We were happy enough to put up with the set up of the bed. Bed and pillows were very comfortable otherwise

  The room was very comfortable, clean; it was a twin bed when we booked for one bed. Reception said they would fix it for us, which they did by bringing the two single beds together

The location is good and the hotel staff is helpful. They even whatapps me before my arrival and I can check with them some of the details before I check in the hotel

Apart from the two swimming pools (which is understandable) our dog was welcome everywhere in the hotel which was great. The room was comfortable and clean, the restaurant very good and the overall service was excellent

They even brought special items to our table each day, despite it being a buffet. Loads of cool ornaments around the hotel, easy parking especially in September with a huge free car park nearby

Great location with a nice view of the seafront from the bedroom.

Best part was definitely the beach side view. Spent my mornings having a quick smoke while enjoying looking out to the beach. Parking is difficult as only street parking is available, but so worth coming nevertheless

The location is great, right over the road from the beachfront, we had a partial sea view which was fine

There were always parking spaces. It felt safe with the Closing gate. It was 2 minutes drive from the supermarket and 30 minutes from Palombaggia

The sea itself is a huge disappointment though, the water is very low (30 cm) so it's impossible to swim here. But it's a great starting point for visiting nearby beautiful beaches, and mountains, and Porto Vecchio

Local beach is quiet and peaceful but sea is more like a shallow lake with pebbles and algae. Beautiful beaches a short drive away

The swimming pool was ok for kids to spend some time. The beach umbrellas are a great place to spend an hour or two reading

My negatives: - that the drive back to Bastia airport was never 2h30, due to traffic, it took almost 4 hours and we almost missed the plane so if you fly back from Bastia, leave VERY early so this does not happen to you - the restaurant was not for us, pizza not very good (chopped tomato not tomato sauce, not good for kids and calzone way too much meat that was hard to chew, tough sausage) and you...

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the recent reopening of the completely renovated Ambassador hotel in Nice, FR. This property is located two blocks from the beach

Four of these owned by the same ownership group as the Ambassador, offering two free drinks with a dinner order if you show them your room key. Also just a few blocks away and your are into the historic district of Nice

The shower was large, glass enclosed and the bathroom fixtures were lovely. We were fortunate to interact with the manager, Miss Loan and the front desk mgr. My apologies ladies if I’ve misspelled your names

This hotel is an amazing little Low Cost Gem, located really close to the town center and attractions of Calais which is a great place to visit and spend some time in

Parking is available at the shopping center across the street, which is convenient and inexpensive (we parked on Sunday evening and it cost about 8 euros by Monday noon)

There are bikes you can borrow if you don't feel like walking the 20-30 minutes along the ocean to the town centre. Pool views the ocean with a small private beach if you want to experience the sand

The private beach is literally 20 meters wide and 4 deep. Parking on site, not for the fainthearted, but you will manage

Just over 30 minute walk to the center of town or you can take one of the bikes that they have available. three charges for electric vehicles on site. We did not have any food, so we cannot comment on that

King bed was two singles pushed together. The charges for beach chairs and towels was over $100 for two at their sister hotel. The staff appeared not to have defined roles and service was spotty

This was a beautiful hotel where we stayed in February. but there was a lot of available parking for free on the surrounding streets, often right out front. Off season you could still find many places open in town

We just stoped over for a night and glad we chose this location over the pretentious and overpriced sister hotel Belles Rives

Since Juan-les-Pins - otherwise also very charming - is not really welcoming these days, because La Pinède and the whole beach / boardwalk have been under construction for more than 2 years now (let alone the monster construction site of the Hotel Provençal, which has been around for 30 years or more?), a haven of beauty and quietness, of delicious food and elegance indoors and on the beach, is just...

I was a bit worried because of some negative reviews (on this site). However, I think it is a matter of expectations. This is not a new building and has not be renovated. So it doesn’t have the latest and the greatest

We booked 2 nights for an early birthday treat and what a treat it was. The hotel was not busy so they kindly upgraded us to a partial sea view room which was much appreciated

This is a classic hotel in a great location. We had a wonderful stay here at the end of the season. Everything was perfect - from the room view, service and attentiveness, to the food
