Style in Paris

We stayed in this hotel for 2 Nights and it's OK for just a room to sleep but it could be a lot better. There is the atmosphere of a construction site there because of the material standing around in the house and the smell. The Bed was old and the bed linen was not very clean and had a weird smell. The couple (I think they are) who is running the business is nice but doesn't speak any English which is pretty annoying for international visitors. The Hotel is very central in Paris and the connection via Bus and Metro is pretty good.

A total scam.
Reservation for 2 single rooms, at the reception they assigned us 1 double with double bed.. not the best for two colleagues on a business trip.
Paris was packed and this was the only option available, the alternative was to go elsewhere and pay an incredibly high price.

I stayed for a few days and even though the workers were nice, they didn't speak any language apart from French, making things a bit harder.

But that's the least of it. Both the bedroom and the bathroom are pretty small, and since the bathroom does not have any ventilation, the humidity swallowed everything. Plus the blankets were small and thin and not enough. A couple of days later I have a cold because of these two reasons.

Another important thing to mention is that in my room the bathroom did not have any separation between the shower and the rest, so everything was wet and unsanitary (the door had such humidity that it could not be closed). This was not as showed on Booking.

They didn't change the towels daily or even after two days, same with room garbage. There was a construction site just next, people making too much noise on the hallway and no one from the staff doing anything... And the fire alarm sounded twice one afternoon (I guess someone was smoking inside), making it imposible to take a nap or even sleep at night (it was 2:30).

So, yeah, basically no good rest and with a cold.

Why two stars, then? Mainly because it's one of the cheapest places in Paris, it has private rooms with private bathrooms, and it's very well connected to everything.
