Hotel Eiffel Capitol in Paris

We stayed at Hotel Eiffel Capitol in Paris, and our experience was extremely disappointing.

When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was very rude. He didn’t greet us or say hello—he simply asked for our booking and names in an unfriendly manner. His behavior made us feel uncomfortable and discriminated against. There was no basic courtesy or professionalism at all.

He took our passports during check-in and did not return them. Because of his behavior, we did not immediately realize this. After going out for a walk around the city, we suddenly remembered our passports after about 6–7 hours. We panicked, thinking we had lost them somewhere in the city, and spent hours searching everywhere we had been. Our entire evening was ruined, which was especially upsetting since we were in Paris for only one day.

When we returned to the hotel and asked at reception, another staff member casually said that the receptionist had forgotten to give our passports back. This is completely unacceptable and irresponsible. Passports are extremely important documents, and this situation caused us a lot of stress and anxiety. It felt intentional and very careless.

On top of this, the room was extremely small and absolutely not worth the high price we paid.

Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. Very poor service, unprofessional staff, and overpriced rooms. I would rate this hotel -10 out of 10 and would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.
