This hotel needs renovating, but the staff were polite.
Coleen on the main desk was engaging as well as helpful, she interacted with the adults and children alike and was able to share her insights into what living in Paris is like.
Widmack the waiter in the foyer was a friendly face, checking on us and making sure that we had everything that we needed.
Ratta on Consierge was a wealth of knowledge with good restaurant reccommendations, handy maps and directions.
This is a great place to stay and very close to all the sights.
After checking out at noon, we left our luggage with them and came back around 3 PM, politely asking if there was a small, quiet corner where we could pray for just 10 minutes. The manager ((((Zohair)))) was shockingly rude and disrespectful. Instead of helping, he said several times, “Go to the airport and pray there,” when we clearly told him that our flight was in no less than 6 hours!
It was such a simple request. They could have easily helped by offering a small space for a few minutes, but it was clear there was a complete lack of respect for us and for our religion, especially from this manager named (((Zohair))). This behavior was unprofessional, offensive, and completely unacceptable.
Marriott should seriously reconsider who they put in charge of customer service.
Champs Elyesee is a dump though. Stay far away if possible. So many people, street performances with loud music. Could hear it from our room all day and night until 10pm.
I recently stayed at the Marriott Champs-Élysées and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience – especially given the $1,400/night rate.
From the outset, the front desk staff were unwelcoming and unhelpful, which set a poor tone for the stay. The room I was assigned was shockingly subpar – it appeared to have been converted from a former service area, seemingly in an attempt to generate additional revenue with no regard for guest comfort. The room had a persistent sewage odor, lacked any natural light, and was located near service carts left parked directly outside my door. For a property bearing the Marriott name and this premium location, this was unacceptable.
Additionally, the breakfast offered was far below the standard I’ve experienced at other luxury hotels in Paris. The quality, variety, and service were disappointing and not remotely in line with what one would expect at this price point.
I attempted to raise my concerns by emailing the property manager, but have yet to receive a response. This lack of accountability further confirms the disregard for guest satisfaction. I will be sending a formal letter to Marriott Corporate and sharing my experience on social media platforms to warn others.
Do not stay here, and I strongly advise travel agents and corporate planners to avoid booking clients into this property. There are far better options in Paris that deliver superior service, rooms, and value.
