Hotel Caumartin Opéra - Astotel

Great location. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast buffet is a great start to the day. We'll definitely stay here again.

Although the place could probably use a bit of a renovation as it’s showing its age, everything was clean and fresh. The staff were lovely, especially the lovely young receptionist that checked us in and the lady responsible for breakfast. I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful they were. Breakfast was fantastic - scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, beans, bacon, sausage, pancakes, sautéed veg, cheeses, baguettes, cold cuts, yogurt, fruit, fruit salad, tomatoes, mozzarella, cereal, pastries, cappuccino, tea, juices, etc etc. Just an incredible variety. All was delicious. The “happy hour” concept was great too. Every 2pm-Midnight(?) they setup the breakfast room with free soda, juice, water, chips, candy, pretzels, baked goods etc. You can just pop in and grab a snack at your own hotel or any other hotel in the chain. There was another hotel in the chain right next door, so we would sometimes stop over there on our way back in the evenings as they had comfier chairs & gummy bears 😂. The mini fridge in ur room is also stocked daily with a free can of Pepsi, bottle of OJ and 2 bottles of water. The location was great. 2 mins walk from Auber station to get the RER to Disney and/or La Defence. Also 5 min walk to the Roissybus stop for the CDG airport run. It was also very close to the Metro line to Montmarte. We also walked to the Louvre, Seine etc etc easily. There is a small grocery store a few doors down that has lots of items at reasonable prices if you want to pick up snacks (and the hotel lobby has a microwave if you need to heat up a meal). The room itself was big for Europe. We were on the 4th floor in 44 facing the courtyard and never heard a peep. We opened the windows every night to sleep with fresh air and there was no noise. Bed was comfy, so were the pillows, and the towels were always fresh and clean. The hallways, rooms and lobby were a bit worn but very clean. I would definitely stay here again. The staff, amenities and location were perfect.

Was looking for an affordable place to stay close to all the action and found it. Safe location, standard room with enough space, perfect service

I’ve stayed at Astotel’s a few times in Paris at various locations. This was my first time at Opera-Caumartin and I was, once again, very pleased. The room (single) was basic but comfortable and clean, very silent and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I also like that I can find free refreshments in the lobby and also on my room. Another nice thing for visitors is that you also get access to lavatory and refreshments in all other Astotel Locations in Paris. Thanks Phuong for having me and see you next time.

Overall a great experience, mainly thanks to the amazing location : same street as L'Olympia and 5 minutes walk distance from Saint-Lazare, and thanks to the amazing breakfast service (really worth it). The staff is kind, arranging and we had no issue at all during our one-night stay. We must remove a star due to the very old and minimally maintained aspect, especially with the really frightening elevator. Our room (back of the building) was not very well placed and made it seem quite expensive for what it was. I would say that out of the 200€, 75% of the price was justified by the location, service and breakfast. I wouldn't give more than 50€ for 2 people staying in the room only. Do not break the bank to afford this hotel : It is much more of an accomodation hotel than a vacation hotel. It is a great thing that we did not expect much in terms of looks.

Good location, easy access to Metro, bus stop, Roissy Bus station (to CDG), Opera, Galeries Lafayette, there is a good bistrot opposite to hotel; and walk distance to 1 arrondissement.
Staffs were friendly, the free mini bar was a plus.

Our room was not nice looking as the photos, it's smaller and dark, soundproofing was weak. The lift made us feel unsafe, must be maintained.
