Hotel Royal Saint Michel in Paris

I stayed at this hotel during my solo trip to Paris, and it felt very safe and perfectly located.👍🏻

At night, I could easily walk around the Seine River for a peaceful stroll, and during the day, many major attractions such as the Louvre and the Marais district were within walking distance. The Luxembourg Gardens, along with numerous cafés and restaurants nearby, made it an ideal place for travelers to stay.🌿🌸

The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and both the service and cleanliness were very satisfying.🩷 The hotel has a beautiful, classic atmosphere that adds to the charm of staying in Paris. The bathroom was not small at all, and the bed was very comfortable, which helped me rest well after long days of sightseeing.

The only downside was that the elevator was quite small and old. However, since I was traveling alone, it wasn’t inconvenient.

I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Paris.🦋

The location is great. Although the room is small but it’s clean

Located on Metro Line 4, the exit is a minute away. The room was a bit small, but had a small terrace. There's a small, old-fashioned elevator. Notre Dame Cathedral is across the street, and the Louvre Museum is about a 20-minute walk away.

And great location! Very central very close to everything.2 minute walk to the Seine.

Also the staff are very nice and helpful too!

Lovely

This is a lovely hotel, located at a 5 minute walk from the newly reopened Notre-Dame Cathedral (with no lines or crowds at 8 AM!). The Reception was warm and lovely, and I was invited to help myself to wine and pastries in the tiny salon a few steps from the front desk, as well as them including my breakfast for free. The room was sweet and intimate, going up the tiny elevator to the second étage. Very clean, with a small bathtub where I could soak my travel-weary bones. Beautiful windows looking down on Place St-Michel, yet I was not disturbed by street noise. In the morning I enjoyed a wonderful copious and fresh breakfast buffet: fruit, cheeses, salmon, eggs, fresh pastries, excellent service... They were happy to keep my baggage while I took a walk, after which I caught the Métro right next to the hotel leading directly to the Montparnasse train station. My highest praise to the staff at this delightful hotel--I will return avec plaisir!

Wonderfully central while still not burdened by much noise from outside. Although rooms are small, they have all that you need. Be prepared for tight spaces, particularly regarding the lift and breakfast room.

Very polite and friendly staff, answered all questions, fulfilled all requests. Delicious breakfast. Delicious wine and champagne in the salon on the 1st floor. The hotel is well located close to Notre Dame, metro and RER. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the view from the window is great.

A lovely hotel in the centre of the Latin Quarter.Close to metro and train RER B which takes you to and from Charles de Gaulle airport. The room was quiet and comfortable. Service and breakfast was good. It had a small lift but I knew about it so it wasn't a problem.

This was my first stop in Europe after a long flight. The care I received from the staff here was beyond my expectations! I ended up extremely sick my first 2 days in Paris and Johan got me medicine from the pharmacy, along with crackers and tea. Upon my departure, Manuel was extremely friendly and helpful. We joked and talked while waiting for my taxi to the airport, and he even carried my heavy backpack to the taxi for me. The staff here went above and beyond and I can't wait to stay here again in the future!!

I've seen reviews complaining about the noise outside or about the stairs/elevator within the hotel. I was on the 6th floor and could hear people partying outside, but it wasn't something so loud that it couldn't be drowned out by the sound of the TV. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper or stay in a less busy area. This area is known for its restaurants and nightlife, so it's to be expected. As for the stairs/elevator: yes the elevator is a one person lift, but it works great! The stairs got me a little dizzy, but they're manageable. Most of the showers in Europe have the half door (from what I've seen), so it's all about adjusting your shower technique so you don't soak the floor. Please keep in mind, hotels in North America are entirely different than hotels in Europe unless you're staying in a luxury or chain hotel. Most of the hotels are located in historic buildings where renovations aren't necessarily allowed. My room had aircon that worked great, which not a lot of places have.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Paris. It's close to a lot of attractions, close to a metro to get around Paris, and I felt safe in this area as a solo female traveler.
