Reviews
The receptionist was ok but seems so tired when we checked in.
It is well located on the edge of Vincennes - a very pleasant suburb that felt safe and close to the Bois de Vincennes, as well as being a 5 minute walk from the M1 metro.
Personally, what I believe the biggest issue was, was the way restrooms were set; the toilet in one room, the shower in another and the sink also in another room. As a woman who was traveling with a group of women, I found it extremely disrespectful that there was not a trash bin next to the toilet, only one next to the sink (which is next to the beds, no door or anything) so our sanitary products couldn't be disposed properly. We had to buy bags and leave them next to the toilet. The hostility this represents for most women is astonishing...
As I arrived, it was extremely hot, and it seems like the hotel doesn't offer any air conditioning (they didn't claim they do, but the rooms were so hot every day, we had to completely close the windows and curtains during the day so that the room stays a little cooler and stay out of the hotel as longas possible). They also don't have any sort of refrigerator, which would have been amazing for this terrible heat.
The breakfast was also okay, although it felt like all pastries were bought from a supermarket and there wasn't a variety at all.
Staff was friendly, I think there's no much they can do.
They brag a lot about being energy efficient, but I believe the commodity of the guests shouldn't be compromised.
The location however was quite good, probably the best thing about the hotel.
The room is very small, hot and not maintained well.
The shower was smelly, the handle in the shower partially broken and we didn't even get a towel for our feet outside the shower. The light in de shower was broken as well. We didn't talk about that since we didn't have time. The toilets in de welcoming area are just disgusting and so are some parts of the breakfast area.
All by all is this a hotel to avoid I think. Spend your money elsewhere and maybe a bit more because this was too expensive for what we got. Was happy to go back home.
As expected from an Ibis Budget, the room was basic and not very spacious, but it was enough to comfortably open both a cabin-sized and medium-sized suitcase. The location is actually quite nice—situated in what feels like a residential area, which made it feel safer and quieter. That said, it’s at least a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro line, and getting to the main tourist spots by bus or metro will take around 30 minutes.
