Everything was perfect! The hotel was very clean and well managed. Reception staff were kind and always helpful, and the housekeeping team was polite and friendly, cleaning our room daily and changing the towels. Beach towels, sunscreen, water, and even free coffee were provided. Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced.
It was our second stay here, and once again we had a wonderful experience. We will definitely choose this hotel again. Many thanks to the excellent management and the welcoming staff!

The staff were all lovely and there were nice little touches like a kids play area, lollies at reception, sunscreen to borrow for the day. The bathroom in our rooms didn’t have shelves to place personal toiletries and there was only one small towel rack making it hard for the towels to dry between use.
The reason for the average location score is because it takes about 25-30 minutes walk to get to the main train station or old town where most restaurants are. As we were travelling with a toddler this made it tricky (& slower).

This was my second stay at Hotel Locarno and it was great to see familiar faces from the staff members after 3 years. :) This time I returned with my dog, because it is a pet friendly hotel. He also enjoyed staying here. We visited the Carnaval Nice, and the hotel was also decorated by this theme. The staff was dressing up every day in different costumes and the entire hotel was reflected by this amazing event.
The staff was excellent again, whenever I needed something they were kindly and professionally helped me. Whenever I’ll be back to Nice, I won’t hesitate to book my next stay here again. :)

After spending four wonderful days at a hotel in North Wales, I headed to Nice to celebrate my birthday and stayed at this hotel. We arrived quite late, around 11 PM, due to a delayed flight. The gentleman at reception was very helpful, clearly explained the hotel’s instructions, and spoke excellent English.
Upon arrival, the reception area gave a great first impression- modern, clean, with a cheerful atmosphere and plenty of seating however we were surprised when we entered the lift as it was extremely small, despite being advertised as suitable for three people.
I had requested a special touch in advance and was told we’d been upgraded to a deluxe room, so my expectations were quite high.
When we entered the room, it felt very cramped, and the rug gave a rather dirty impression. I tried to open the curtains for some fresh air as it was too hot, but they fell off immediately. The room setup was also quite awkward — the kettle, coffee, and tea tray were placed right next to the bed, which wasn't very practical.
The safe wasn’t working properly, so we informed reception on the next day. They did send someone promptly, which we appreciated, but after following his instructions, the safe still didn't work. When I called reception again, I was told the staff member had left and would follow up when he returned, unfortunately, no one got back to us.
The bathroom was relatively spacious compared to the room, but the shower pressure was very weak, and we couldn’t use the shower and bathtub water separately.
On the positive side, the bed, pillows, and bed linens were very comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent, and the breakfast was delicious, with a generous serving time from 7:00 to 10:30 AM, perfect for a relaxed morning after a late night.

The hotel is in the ideal location. Easy access to public transportation especially from the airport.
It’s a fairly basic hotel but rooms were spotless and cleaned daily.
Reception staff were very polite and helpful with getting around.
Breakfast although basic was adequate to get your day off to a good start. Lovely peaceful little garden for you to chill out on and was kept very clean with a small array of potted flowers.
Just a small suggestion maybe a small bar area for drinks would have been a good addition.
Overall it was perfect location, would recommend and would return again

Fantastic Hotel with a Great Location and Excellent Service
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is perfect—everything is within walking distance. The sea, the city center, and excellent transport links are just a 15-20 minute walk away. If you’re up for a bit of travel, the nearby train station makes it incredibly easy to reach Monaco, Cannes, or other destinations. There are also plenty of local shops nearby where you can buy food and essentials.
The service truly exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and friendly the staff were. The room was small—perhaps even tiny—but for a short stay of 3-4 nights, it was absolutely fine since I didn’t spend much time in the hotel anyway. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily and even changed the towels every day, which was another pleasant surprise.
One of the absolute highlights of my stay was the amazing breakfast. The variety was incredible—different kinds of cheese, appetizers, sweet and savory options, and fresh juices. The breakfast was top-level, and I honestly felt full for most of the day!
Another great convenience was that after checking out, we were allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel until the evening. Since we had a late flight, this was incredibly helpful—we were able to enjoy the city for the whole day and just pick up our bags before heading to the airport.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would love to return in the future. A huge thank you to the staff for their outstanding service!

My friend and I had a lovely stay here, staff were lovely and accommodating, hotel was clean and bed was very comfortable, which can be rare for a hotel! It was a 2-minute walk to the Promenade & although it was a bit of a walk into Old Nice, the tram and bus systems are easy enough to work out if you didn’t want to walk and very close by! There are plenty of lovely restaurants nearby to save you going into the town if you don’t want to. Definitely recommend staying here, good location, service and cleanliness, I will stay here again if/when I return to Nice! Thank you!

Very good stay except for a slight problem with the VMC which was leaking in the bathroom. I will return to this establishment 🙂

5 stars for a location 1 block from the English Promenade, the friendly, helpful staff, reasonable rates, lovely terrace area and the nice breakfast spread.
3.5 stars for the room. On the small side, no view, plus a strange (plumbing?) smell in the bathroom. But the bed was comfortable and, although only one floor up from street level, generally quiet and with a decent shower.
Enjoyed a terrific Lebanese take-away dinner (around the corner from Hotel Locarno) on the Hotel terrace.
