Bioli Wellness Resort in Kojori

We stayed at Bioli to celebrate a special occasion - our wedding anniversary. The place itself is beautiful. The cottages are very spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The territory is large, peaceful, and very well maintained. The breakfast buffet is also very good - tasty and diverse. However, several service details unfortunately spoiled the overall impression. First, the anniversary. We have celebrated special occasions in many hotels of different levels, and even much simpler places usually try to acknowledge it somehow - even a small card or a simple compliment. Here it was completely ignored, despite being mentioned during booking. Second, the checkout process. When we were leaving, we were asked to wait around 10 minutes while staff checked our cottage. This felt unnecessary and awkward. In modern hotels payments are processed online and any potential damage can easily be charged afterward if needed. Being held at checkout like this definitely does not match the premium positioning of the hotel. The most unpleasant moment happened during breakfast. Next to the buffet there is a fridge with desserts placed right beside the tea area. There were no signs or price tags indicating these desserts were not included in breakfast. The waiter was nearby the entire time, actively commenting on dishes and offering coffee, but never mentioned that the desserts were extra. Only after we had eaten them did he come and say that they cost additional money. The amount itself (about 50 GEL) is not the issue. The real problem is the feeling that the situation was intentionally left unclear. To be honest, it feels like a cheap money-grab - something you definitely do not expect from a hotel that positions itself as a luxury destination. After I shared this feedback, the General Manager of Bioli contacted me personally to apologize. She was very polite and professional, and explained that she has already been insisting on adding clear price labels to those desserts and assured that this will be fixed. I really appreciated that gesture and her attitude definitely helped improve the impression. Bioli is a beautiful place with great potential, but service details matter - especially when you position yourself as a premium destination.

Great place, fresh air, wonderful chalets (although of course it's time to modernize them a bit), distance from civilization, nature, peace and quiet, I come back here year after year with great pleasure. But! There is one colossal minus, which every time spoils all the above advantages and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. It's the food. In the country - the capital of culinary masterpieces, to cook such crap - you just have to specially learn to do harm. Moreover, all the reviews on this matter just pass by. And no one wants to listen. PLEASE! Invite any respected expert chef from the Europe / UK / Australia, he will tell you the same thing - what you are trying to pass off here as mega-wellness cuisine is culinary crimes. There is overly vinegary everywhere, all the dishes are banally tasteless and unrelated, the meat is over-marinated, half is not salted at all - the other half is over-salted, no side dishes, everything is completely unrelated. The fish is more or less edible every other time, but you can't survive on fish alone for long. And most importantly, every year everything is only getting worse and worse in this direction.... Because of the remoteness from civilization, this problem is really becoming a problem, because only 2-3 food deliveries are delivered here. In principle, you can somehow adapt if you go to eat in the nearest village during the day, where any roadside cafe cooks 10 times better and tastier.
