This was my second stay at the Hotel Rio, which I found just as comfortable welcoming as on my last visit. I would definitely stay there again.

The Hotel is located nicely in central Karlsruhe. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. Staff is super friendly and the breakfast option is up to the standard. There is, however, no AC working. "It is not hot enough". There was 26 degrees celsius in the night in my room and no AC. Opening windows is also not an option as downstairs there are people smoking, so you either choose to be smoked or bowled. The soap/shampoo/lotion are slightly below standard, the containers were 3/4 empty and there was no hair lotion. No typical hotel slippers, too. In general this is a 2-3 star solid standard. If you get a fair price, it is worth staying at, but avoid in summer.

Relaxing
A very comfortable overnight stay with secure underground parking and good restaurant.
The breakfast was plentiful and varied.
Our bedroom and bathroom were spotless .

I stayed there with 5 collegues for an exbhition and we were all very pleased with our stay. The hotel is only a few minutes from the tram station that took us directly to the Exhibition Centre within 15 minutes-ish. It's also within walking distance of a lot of restaurants, beer gardens, grocery stores, etc. The breakfast had a lot of fresh and delicious options for a very good price at 9 euros (2 collegues had to swap due to increasing their stay and their new place charged 18 euros). My room was spacious, modern and I slept very well. The staff was always pleasant and kind. We will definitely book it again for the next fair.

This is a hotel with old decoration, but many foreigners like it.
First of all, the infrastructure is complete and sufficient.
Mainly in classical style, the breakfast is also very good with a full range of varieties.
The lady at the front desk is very friendly, and many of the waiters are very polite and friendly.
Convenient transportation and good location,
There is a tram nearby,
There is a cathedral a few steps away.
You can go to the shopping street in 15 minutes' walk.
