Boutique Hotel Relais Chalet Wilhelmy in Bad Wiessee

Amazing hotel. I didn’t expect anything, just booked one night to relax near the lake. But it was unexpected good! Room, swimming pool, service (I had a massage, which was also good) and the main for me is food! In the evening tasty dinner with good wine and view, and breakfast… that was really good, because it’s very rare in german hotels to have something not sweet for breakfast! Here is excellent selection of sweet and non sweet food, you really should try it!

Beautiful boutique Hotel in one of the best locations Germany.

Clean spacious rooms, small bathroom, adequate and clean in quiet rural location. Heated outdoor pool was a nice touch at all times of year. Comfortable beds and bedding. Breakfast was good with ample selection all served from a very small footprint. Evening meals were from a small menu with limited choice and not always to our taste and not available on Sundays and Mondays. Food and drink priced at the higher end especially for a boutique hotel. All in all though, our stay was enjoyable.

We recently stayed at a charming boutique hotel in Bad Wiessee, conveniently located within a short walking distance to the beautiful shore of Tegernsee. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Our room, situated on the roadside, was spacious and featured a lovely bathroom, making our stay comfortable. The breakfast offered was delightful, with a variety of delicious options to start the day. Additionally, the staff was both friendly and professional, contributing positively to our overall experience. However, our stay was marred by some significant inconveniences. The hotel was undergoing roof repairs to address leakages, which unfortunately resulted in the entire building being shrouded in scaffolding. This construction work caused considerable noise the leakages left visible stains on the sealing and a noticeable smell of humidity in the room. Regrettably, we were not informed about the ongoing construction in advance, nor were we offered any discount for the inconvenience it caused. While the staff did apologize for the disruption, it would have been appreciated to have received some compensation or at least a prior warning. Overall, while the hotel has a lot of potential and many positive aspects, the timing of our visit was less than ideal due to the construction. We hope to return in the future to experience the hotel in its full charm, free from the disturbances of repair work.

We had an exceptional stay at the Boutique Hotel Relais Chalet Wilhelmy a week ago. Lovely and intimate family owned hotel. Much warmer and friendlier atmosphere than many of the larger corporate hotels in the area. Very comfortable and recently renovated nature room and excellent staff and service. Quite a serene setting. Appreciated that hotel and staff stayed open for us, the only guests due to a big snow storm in Bavaria. Breakfast and dinner were first-rate. Mrs Ziegelbauer, the owner, was very welcoming and accommodating and made excellent recommendations for the area that made our visit memorable (including the hike to a lunch at the beautiful and delicious Saurussel Alm am Tegernsee). Nice location in Bad Wiessee - close to lake but a little removed and more relaxed that busier towns of Tegernsee and Rottach-Egern. Beautiful 12k walk along a path from Bad Wiessee to Tegernsee and then took the boat back. Outdoor sauna and pool sadly but understandably not open due to the vast snow accumulation. Storm made for a winter wonderland with festive and high quality weekend Christmas markets in each town. A memorable visit and would highly recommend both the hotel and area.

Great place for a business workshop and for a getaway for couples or singles looking to relax and enjoy local nature. High quality service, food and amenities. Small but the spa has it all.

What a stunning little Boutique Hotel! Absolutely loved the modern traditional design of the dining areas and especially the newly renovated „Nature“ Rooms! Book one of those if you can! They come with access to a private little terrace from which you can walk out onto the grass and enjoy the amazing view of the distant mountains and a field with the neighbours‘ cows grazing day and night. So very peaceful. Also as a side note - yes the cows are wearing the typical bells around their necks which is a lovely sound, but if you do ever get too much - the noise isolation when you close your patio door is perfect! :) I didn’t get to try their dinner during this stay but I heard it’s pretty great. The breakfast buffet surely was wonderful! Anything you can ask for was there and it was of really good quality too! Much more variety than I expected of a rather small hotel to be honest but in decent serving sizes. Quality over quantity, just the way it should be.
Would definitely stay here again if I was looking for a peaceful pretty place to stay and relax at Tegernsee.

Nice Hotel, with large rooms. Recently renovated with new bathroom etc. Excellent conference facilities
