The restaurant is truly phenomenal and one of the best I've dined at in North Rhine-Westphalia! Our server took our allergies very serious and recommended meals and wine pairings. Highly recommend especially for gluten or dairy allergies!

Nice hotel stay for a night. Big rooms, little dated. Could hear some traffic from Road but good location and easy walking distance to old town kettwig, the river and the station to take you into Essen. Breakfast had a good selection and hotel staff were very nice and helpful.

A very pleasant experience for an overnight stay in Kettwig. A great place to dine with generous portions . The breakfast was very good witt a real friendly and attentive service. The rooms were fine ( maybe the bed a bit low ) All in all a perfect place to stay.

It's not a bad hotel if you're lucky enough to get rooms on the left side and 1st floor.
Why?
Because of bowling alley. The noise is ridiculous, and although staff information that it will finish at 23.00 it lasted till midnight and after that there still were a noisy party untill 1.00... not good if you go to a hotel for a sleep...
If it wasn't to that I would give it 4 stars, as the breakfast was good and there were plethora of options to choose, room was clean and tidy (although little bit outdated, which isnt a big problem), bed was comfortoable but what is the point of that when you cant sleep due to noise...

The restaurant is just superb, the food is increadible and the service wonderful.
The hotel rooms are large and the shower is very good.
The location is beutiful.

Do not book here. Was this weekend and too many things were off for what pay for it: noise till 23.00 due to a bowlingalley, breakfast without fresh coffee, vegatables and only apples as fruit, 2nd day at 09.00 no more brown bread and not replenished. And checkin and checkout were far from friendly. Only the restaurant that served diner was a good experience.
