Self check in was luckily smooth due to our phone internet otherwise it could have been bad. Overall we were happy with our stay.

I've been a guest here for years and am always very satisfied. The rooms are functional, spacious, and clean, a bottle of water is always provided, and the breakfast is very good. The location isn't the best, but you know that before booking. The staff is friendly.

Nice hotel that’s a short walk to the tram.

I stayed at this hotel on August 24th. The room was clean, the staff very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent upon request. The location is excellent, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel. For those traveling by electric car, there's also a charging station. Highly recommended.

Recommended hotel for short breaks and city trips. Rooms facing the forest get morning sun. Be aware that there is a railway line about 100 meters away, which can be disruptive for light sleepers with the window open.

Hotel Sonne was fantastic. The hotel itself is in the typical area style, beautiful woodwork and furnishings. Extremely clean. The location is very good. Directly in the town center and local attractions ie hiking, etc. within a few minutes drive. The staff made us feel at home. The restaurant is a top rated restaurant in Germany.

The restaurant food was good, however the service was not enough to wait for the dishes -we have waited for about 1 hour to get our dishes. This isn't a reasonable time to wait .

I had dinner here with my husband. I had low temperature cooked beef and my husband had salmon. The food was amazing and the service was very friendly.

The Roten Bären hotel was perfectly situated in the old city of Freiburg! Decent breakfast buffet and friendly staff. Considered the oldest Inn in Germany. A little bit of a challenge to get to it since it’s in the pedestrian zone but managed.

Oldest hotel in Germany!! Almost 800 years old and still going! It has quirks, and is nothing like a Holiday Inn, but that's a GOOD thing. Very clean, very hospitable, very quaint, and exactly in the center of old-town, just footsteps from the ancient main city gate. I loved it, and hope to return someday. Be sure to visit the little ancient basement/cellar museum.

Friendly family run hotel ideally located for Freiburg and the Black Forest.

The staff were amazing, the breakfast was good with lots of choices. The room was somewhat updated but the carpet needed to be replaced. The building itself needed updating but has a good layout.

Was a fantastic room shower etc with balcony, however we were woken at around 7 by workers opposite our room this is unacceptable we're on holiday and had a long days ride we needed our rest plus no food at all we had to order a takeaway and we had only 1 pillow each which thin and soft

The hotel is located about 4.5 km from Freiburg, but is very easy to reach. There's a bus stop right outside. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful, but due to a lack of staff, it was quickly cleared out and only refilled later. This wasn't particularly pleasant, even though many tables were occupied. It’s my third time at stuub freiburg and once again an excellent experience! Very clean and well laid out rooms, efficient kitchen, friendly customer service. The hotel is dog friendly as well which is a big plus. It is close to the bus stop that takes you into the centre, and the supermarket is steps away.

I reached Freiburg as an international student and I was worried that I might not be very comfortable studying in a hotel .. But it was the total opposite!! This review is about the restaurant and not the hotel. This place offers an authentic German dining experience and food was great. Directly at Münsterplatz in a charming old building. Inside everything is well-preserved, cozy ambiance with rustic decor. Overall friendly staff but at times it felt that they were not very professional addressing a couple of issues we had regarding orders.

my first visit to the Hotel Oberkirch was in 1969 as a young child with my family. I've been going ever since. immediately across the square from the Münster, the Oberkirch is perfectly situated for those wanting to explore Freiburg. modern well appointed rooms, an excellent restaurant,!

This little gem of a hotel lies in the square surrounding the cathedral. Surrounded by restaurants and ice cream shops, it is convenient for a lovely day of strolling. My room was cozy and clean with an apple, a rose, and a comfortable bed. The proprietors were lovely and most helpful. I would gladly stay here again!

A perfect stay. We had the room with a sauna, which we used every day. Breakfast was extensive. The location was excellent; in a quiet, picturesque village, yet you can easily reach Freiburg by train. Hiking trails can be started right from the hotel.

Breakfast was the best part of this hotel, and the staff were really friendly. Overall our stay was ok, the rooms at not at all sound proof and through no fault of the hotel a man was shouting in the middle of the night and kept me up, then there’s the 7am church bells. If you’re a light sleeper I’d avoid, if not give it a stay!

We went out for a walk at eight o'clock in the morning. We didn't check out the room and the key was in our hand. The waiter entered without permission and moved our luggage to the front desk! I hope Ctrip and the hotel can give reasonable answers.

Parking seems to bit problematic when all guests arrive with cars. That said, during the check in, the person whole helped us was extremely coorperative with finding us a solution. This was a great help. We definitely come back on our frequent trips back home.

The Hotel was new and clean, the rooms spacious and the location very well-connected.

The room was clean and tidy, and came with a mini-kitchen. The hotel is located in a new area and is very new itself. There's a supermarket and a bakery within a 5-minute walk. There's paid parking available on-site for €18 per night. The room rate was reasonable. There's also a laundry room on the ground floor.

Stayed with a tent and our two bikes. Everything looks great and the toilet and shower facilities are modern and clean. Location close to the city and 5 min cycle to groceries. At 39 euros a night for two people, it is a little bit on the expensive side for a stay with a small tent.

Very clean site with the best facilities I've seen on a site! Pitches are tight for bigger vans but a nice easy 40 minute walk in to the beautiful town centre is a must do!

Good place to spend a night. The sanitary building seemed quite new and it was very clean. One of the better showers I have had in a camping park. The pitches are small and it was quite crowded when we were there.
