Horrible experience. If you are an English speaker I recommend you every single other hotel than this one, they over fee you once you are doing the checkout, they threat American like a joke and have not a single type of empathy and respect for us. I book for two nights on this hotel and the price was 186 euros, once I was going the checkout the charge me for breakfast when I never ate at the hotel and the price when more than 200 euros. The rooms are small, really small.
Not recommendable for any reason, book any other hotel in town.

Fantastic hotel! We were there one week and enjoyed every minute. The room was nice and warm and was cleaned every day. The hotel is in the old town, just some meters from shopping and restaurants. 15 minutes to go to the university through the old town. Hotel has its own bistro and the food there is very tasty. Breakfast is fantastic, remember to taste the bread! Personal is very, very friendly and helpful. It is like to be at home. If we come back to Amberg, we choose this hotel again.

I stayed there for one night. The hotel is in a good location ,right next to the city. It's a clean hotel and the service (front desk) were very friendly. There is not enough parking place in fron of the hotel (10 Eur/night parking fee). But they also have a small underground parking place on the other side of the hotel (must drive around). The parking fee for the underground was 4 or 6 Euro ,if I remember correctly. The decoration is not the best and looks a bit old. But for a short staying good enough. If you need a teeth brush ,you must ask the fornt desk. I didn't had a breakfast ,so I don't know if it's good. In total it was alright.
