AktiVital Hotel in Bad Griesbach

We expected a more luxurious Wellness Hotel after having received their brochures.
It turned out to be more of a clinical style of hotel rather then a recreational style.
We have been welcomed nicely with a glass of bubbles and received all necessary information.
It was quiet surprising to walk quiet a way to get to our room. There is only an elevator reaching the 1st floor from the reception, and then you still have to walk up 2 stairs.
Our room was spacious, double bed (quiet narrow and the mattress much to hard for us), bathroom with shower , a balcony with a drying rack. Our safe did not work (did not mention as not needed).
Breakfast and lunch/dinner is served in their restaurant called "Wastl Wirt".
For breakfast their is a variety of cheeses, cold cuts, cereals, freshly made muesli, fruits and eggs you could soft boil yourself.
For dinner you are offer a 5-course menu which is really nice and tasty.
Unfortunately the sauna is only been heated at 5pm (only to be hot at 6pm) which was quiet dissappointing.
The special massage bed was out of order and for the "Hay-Treatment" you had to pay extra.
We would have expected to receive more of an active-style of a weekend from an AktiVital-Hotel then just a hotel offering bed&breakfast and half board.
Regrettably we had to leave after the first night as the bed was so hard that we could not sleep at all.
