Great boutique hotel located mere minutes from Neuschwanstein Castle. Super clean room on the 3rd floor with great views of the castle at night time. A little warm as the room does not have air conditioning (not unusual for Germany). Fans wer in the room. Breakfast was truly an artform with fantastic service.

I stayed at this hotel a while ago. Currently looking at another trip in this area once we can travel and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The staff, owner and accommodation were perfect in a beautifully picturesque village. Highly recommended.

Room showing some wear and tear - lighting very dim and annoying in the room. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The bed was pretty hard and the most annoying thing was the bathroom light is motion activated with no option to turn it off - so at night it was too much for the eyes.

The availability of amenities -- opening the sauana and pool one hour before checkout when they close at 9pm (depsite restaurants being open past that nearby) -- was quite disappointing. I can only review the dinner: delicious! We are a family of five and everyone tried something off the menu and we shared. This is not my first go with traditional German/Bavarian fare, and I will say this is the best I have eaten so far. Food is made fresh, the staff was nice, flavours were delicious. So charming and authentic! Be aware this is a traditional rooming house. Beautiful building and traditional restaurant. Come in to town with Euros- they aren't accepting credit cards right now, and cash cannot be exchanged in Fussen.

Incredible location/views, rooms are huge, comfortable and the bathroom is modern with good water pressure. The only downside was that the room was a bit too hot. Continental breakfast includes eggs, sausages, croissants and all kinds of good stuff.

Our second stay at Rübezahl. The atmosphere, the attention to detail, the staff, the food and the spa were excellent the first time. This time they were even better! The views of, and the walking in, the foothills of the Alps are tremendous. A wonderful, relaxing stay - we will return.

Balcony view was not great and the Balcony is very small.

Advertised as a hotel but it is a Bed and Breakfast. Upon checking in we were told it will be a vegan breakfast. The website photos showed the room with a balcony overlooking the lake. This was the room that we booked. The room we received faced a busy and noisy road with a balcony. Had we known that it was a Bed and Breakfast, a Vegan breakfast and a room facing a busy road, we would have looked elsewhere

Comfortable clean and a cozy room. Good shower, kind and hospitable stuff. Good value for money. You can have nice strolls around the nearby lake. As we had an electric car we could recharge it on the hotel parking lot which saved time charging in a charging station.

You can also find a little table ND chairs and you are offered some teas and a tea pot to make tea in your own room. The breakfast is very good and you have a lot of choice. For a Motel it is very nice. Rooms are basic but good. Could do with a littlw fridge. Dogs are allowed and actually very nice located for a stroll into fussen and good spot to stay to visit neuschwanstein castle. Breakfast was a bit so so. So the operation was not, in my opinion, so friendly but OK! The intelligibility was quite normal. The food came quickly and was very good! Not too hard/soft, or sauce out of the can! The chops were very tasty and had a good crust. All in all, a normal tavern.
