Hotel Zur Sonne in Rimsting

We had a night here as a stop by from Kaprun to Munich and it was a perfect little stay. Very great value.

We also dropped by a really huge thermal bath and sauna10 mins away and had a good time. (29.5 Euros per person)

Everything around the hotel is furnished so lovingly I could tell this business was created from pure passion. Yes, the bed can be more comfier and rooms more soundproofed (so we don't hear conversations outside our door) but we had a good night's rest anyway. Parking was also okay and enough, but the space is quite tight for sedans.

It was snowing outside our window so it gave the whole place a whimsical feel.

Highly recommend people to come over for the breakfast, it was very beautiful and intricately decorated.

The "garden rooms" (#17 & #18) are a bit disadvantaged - behind the house, small window in the main room, no window in the bathroom - but very clean and the beds are great. What really makes this place is the breakfast, though: great variety presented beautifully and with charm. Tasty, too. If you're a foodie, this will warm your heart. Nice place, recommended.

The rooms were beautiful! With a great friendly service and the incredible location, this hotel was one of the best I visited!

Extremely enjoyable stay! Wasn't going to be our original destination, nor our first choice, but boy I'm glad we ended up here! The lady's running the day to day are extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast is to die for! All in all a wonderful place to stay in Bavaria that feels like a wonderful hotel but also cozy in a way you can't get in a hotel. Would certainly recommend!

Beautifull family hotel with a good atmosphere because of the great family service. A very nice breakfast. And there's a shop downstairs where you can buy nice decoration stuff (e.g. in such case you fell in love with something used as a breakfast service :-))

We give this B&B type hotel 5 stars because of the wonderful family that owns and services it. There were some amenities that we're missing compared to a hotel situation, but if we needed anything all we had to do was ask and the family Staudinger was more than accommodating! We have plans to go back to enjoy the breakfast when family comes to visit and would consider staying there again.
