Dorint Venusberg Bonn in Bonn

A very pleasant hotel. The amenities are modern and high-quality. The location, in the middle of the forest, creates a pleasant atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet and clean.

I had a nice stay in this hotel last week on my business trip to Bonn. The location is a little bit outside of the city but still reachable very good by car. So it is very quiet and a good location to relax from the daily stress. The rooms and ambiente are luxurious, clean and the personal is very friendly.

Our 2nd time back because we loved it the first time. The rooms are mid century modern and darling. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the rooms are very very clean. If you are disabled it’s a bit challenging to get up into the shower and the hotel has stairs to the elevator on one side. The breakfast is fabulous and Luis Tobar-Klotz who works in the dining room at breakfast made our mornings so enjoyable. He has the best personality for hospitality. Honestly he should be the manager and working the front desk. The only sour note was Arthur at the front desk. He knew we were repeat guests and yet he was so off putting. When we purchased MANY items which make them money it was an inconvenience to him. He was down right rude about me needing extra pillows due to my disability. Just odd and we didn’t encounter that last year which is why we returned. Our room was somehow mistakenly booked for 1 person not two so the rooms apparently are set up differently if only one person is booked unlike any other hotel we have ever stayed at so when we checked in we paid for the additional person. They had to bring up the 2nd persons pillows, duvet, towels and since they didn’t check to make sure there was tissue restocked they brought that too. Arthur appeared inconvenienced by having to fulfill what should have been done all along for a 2 person stay and honestly it would have made more sense to have the towels in there anyways even for one person booked for a few days. As long as you avoid Arthur you will have a gorgeous experience oh and the tea is amazing too!!! Love love love their tea selection at breakfast but Arthur will not allow you to have another cup!! Last year they used to have tea in a tiny hall off to the side near the other elevator after breakfast where they also kept water and coffee but no more. A staff called it the garden room or maybe the garden hall. I think it was where they might hold events? I didn’t go exploring since the had just gone to get tea and it was a year ago. I edited my original review in response to the management because I am not at all confused about where we stayed. Last year a young worker followed me into the other elevator after I had gotten tea so I remember CLEARLY this hotel and where that tea was and how that other elevator was more hidden. It was a scary situation so I was glad to be in the other sectioned the hotel this time. Since the man even followed me into the room I chose to go into with the housekeeper instead of my own room. Once he was occupied talking with the housekeeper instead fled and reported it to the front desk. They spoke with the worker staying at the hotel telling them not to follow other guests to their rooms. My husband was LIVID as he was at a business meeting. You can tell reading reviews management doesn’t take constructive criticism well. What a disappointment since Luis is wonderful. I hope he finds a better hotel to work at. I’m happy to write him a recommendation wherever he chooses. He’s a gem!

Great location if you want some peace and quiet and love nature. It's away from the buzz of the city center, and there's a bus stop not far from the hotel entrance...

Service was great and they even sent my invoice to the room which I very much appreciated.

I wish more water was given in the rooms though. 😊

Very nice and quiet, friendly staff. Is a bit of a time capsule back to the 90's but not a bad thing!

Is a good place to stay but i found an small issue with the a/c and the shower.

Buyer beware !! 20 euros a day to park there!!! Not a city centre location, it's 6/7 km outside, I could go and park on street for free, so Dorint, a really super expensive charge !! 5 euro would be enough, so if looking to book here, bear in mind the 20euro a day parking!!!!!
