Generally speaking the best thing about the hotel is the location. It’s in the city center and everything can be found around- nice restaurants, shopping street etc. Parking at the parking garage is expensive- you can park at a nearby parking lot for 6€ per week. As spoken the location is great- with a view to the channel, nice terrace and restaurant.
The building could be great but is not well maintained- you can see the wear everywhere. The restaurant could be great as well but the staff- although mostly friendly- didn’t do a great job- we needed to order the drinks at the bar and bring them to our table ourselves (I don’t mind but wanted to highlight what customers can expect). The breakfast was also not worth the money- it was ok - you could find various options but here you could also see they try to save money in the details- everything was half covered with plastic foil (scrambled egg, baked beans etc.), the coffee makers were dirty, the soy milk empty - and don’t mind asking but also here the staff was not proactive in checking and reordering. They didn’t clean up the tables in between, when they cleaned up a table the didn’t take the dishes away but put everything onto a cart which made such a loud noise that you couldn’t enjoy the breakfast anymore.
The breakfast itself was tasty and fresh so that cannot complain.
Also the tap beer was fresh and tasty.
The rooms- we had one double superior and one double standard- were ok- the superior had a broken soap bottle and they didn’t change the towel which was placed at the floor but the rest was ok.
The standard room was weird- the bathroom didn’t have a separate room- the „window“ to the bedroom was open (there is a big hole from the bathroom (with the toilet) to the bedroom which makes privacy complicated.
They didn’t refill the coffee and also there was a big plastic part on the floor (which I didn’t remove on purpose) and nobody else did. Cleaning was not very efficient- just the surface etc.
to summarize it- we stayed here a few times already but will try another hotel next time to see what they can offer us for the money. As said- everything ok-ish but there is much more potential.

My stay
The stay was fine. Only issues were:

1. No rubbish receptacle.
2. The air conditioning didnt seem to operate correctly
3. I had the window open and there was a lot of noise from outside.

Other than that a convenient stay.
