Location

Located in the Ixia district of Rhodes, Elite Suites is 9 km from Rhodes Diagoras Airport and 4 km from Rhodes town center. The hotel sits on the first line with its own sandy-pebble beach just 100 meters away, accessible via an underpass beneath a busy road and promenade. Ixia Beach, approximately 900 meters distant, offers additional seaside options. Nearby attractions include the Mineralogy Museum 2.2 km away. For dining outside the hotel, Da Romeo Pizzeria Restaurant is only 257 meters from the property. The location combines proximity to the island’s main airport and town with beach access, although the main road nearby contributes to some noise as noted by guests.

Tips

  • If you plan to use the private pool suites, request a room away from the busy road to reduce noise disturbances.
  • Arrive early for sun loungers by the pools, as spots fill quickly, especially in the adults-only section.
  • To fully enjoy beach time, bring water shoes due to the sandy-pebble shore and consider walking to Ixia Beach for a different seaside experience.

A relaxing weekend in a suite with private pool and sea view

No idea why this has such good reviews. Worst 5 star hotel I have ever stayed in. facilities and experience more in line with a 3 star hotel. I am fortunate enough to have stayed in a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels and I have never left a 1 star review. So much so I tried to charge back with my credit card a certain amount to represent 3 star value rather than 5 star prices. The main gripe for me is this hotel is just an extension of a loud and resort style hotel (Rhodes Bay). Most facilities are shared. Rhodes Bay is a Brit abroad loud hotel. Far from relaxing. I will quickly start with the good things: Lunches on the terrace were good, some lovely fresh Greek food and all the staff in that area were lovely/ couldn't have done anymore. Bedroom and bathroom was fine, probably 4 star level, clean room and generally not a lot to complain about with the room, other than the noise (will come on to that). The bad... Noise, noise and more noise. This hotel is far form quiet and idyllic that is is made out to be. Room was noisy, aircon generators for the horrible sister hotel are right outside the elite suite rooms if you are on the back suites. Constant noise. They also have the bottle recycling area behind these rooms, at all times of the night they would recycle bottles from the hotel, incredibly loud and would wake you up at 1am etc. The pools are not relaxing either, they blast loud music every day twice for at least 30 minutes for aqua aerobics in the sister hotel. The Elite suites pool is within 15 feet of the stage. So, incredibly loud music is unavoidable wherever you sit. Again, Elite suites is marketed to be relaxing and quiet... far from it. Final noise complaint, the hotel is situated on a very busy main road, so traffic noise is also the background of your days and nights. Pool facilities, we used the elite suites pool as the main pool was shared with Rhodes bay hotel and looked like a 3 star hotel pool. Really tired and needs updated. The Elite suites pool while nicer still wasn't great. Even little things like over grown grass and cat poo not cleaned up for 3 days, staff taking calls loudly in the pool area... just not 5 star facilities or service. The beach as well is barely worth a mention. Pretty much on the road, not a nice beach with no hotel facilities there. When I took the problems to the manager I asked if we could leave the hotel after 1 night and get a refund so we could go elsewhere. They were not helpful at all and didn't really seem bothered by my complaints. I was happy to pay for the first 2 nights and then leave so it gave me time to find a nicer hotel. They did not entertain a refund or partial refund at all. They didn't offer my any compensation. After back and forth over email they final offered us half price lunches, which was a very small gesture compared to the thousands we had paid on the hotel. In summary, if you are used to 5 star hotels... this isn't a 5 star hotel. I have never had a less relaxing h

The reviews for this hotel are outstanding and we chose it l as we wanted that 5 star wow factor, sadly this did not deliver that. This falls short of what I would expect (and have experienced) at other 5 star hotels. It misses that special touch. In the main, everyone was nice, but nothing felt overly special and there were various parts of the hotel that had seen better days. For context we stayed half board in a room with private pool.

Positives

Able to switch dinner for lunch if there were any days we planned to eat out

The food - huge portions and plenty of choice, very tasty and nicely presented.

The room, very modern, different lighting options and looks stunning, particularly at night. Bed is huge, super comfortable with a selection of pillows.

Negatives

Hotel is tired looking and could look loads better with minimal spend, a touch up of paint etc

Didn't clear the towels on some of the sunbeds in the elite pool over night, so they looked unavailable the next day, when there are only 12 available beds.

Rubbish on the floor, which didn't get cleared after 24 hours and bins overflowing.

The Elite Suites pool is boxed in so becomes a real heat trap and so feels unbearable to sit out in and sunbathe ( I love sitting in hot sun). but we found it hard to get beds at the other pools. The adults only section only have space for about 20 couples so that filled up quickly.

We had a room with a swim up pool but you don't get sun on the decking until after lunch. They aren't entirely private either, you can see certain parts of your neighbours area. They had a maintenance guy who would come round but would also just appear at the bottom of your pool with no warning, so again we didn't feel entirely relaxed.

The private pool has no bar or drinks service so you have to leave and walk to the main pool bar via a broken gate and a un kept pathway. The bar often only had 1 person serving so it could also then be a long wait.

Service can be slow for drinks, taking plates away etc... again just the things that usually make 5 star... well 5 star. We usually had to wait for them to set a table as there wasn't one available despite it being in the middle of service and not overly busy.

The cocktails were awful. Not only were they badly made. They were all tiny and cost around €10 each which felt like too much to pay when they weren't even nice. They were slow to re fill the mini bar in the room as well, so we have spent far less on drinks than we would have if they were available and/ or nice!

The steps to the tennis courts are very weathered and have seen better days. The net was broken and the area and equipment was was generally "well worn". Nothing close to 5 star.

We used the spa for a few hours, the area looks impressive but the jacuzzi wasn't very powerful and the steam room didn't seem to be working. It was a huge space but only steam coming out one of the 4 outlets so it never got steamy.

We asked about late check out or an alternative room to use for 5 hours, given we've just spent €5000 for 2 people for 5 nights and the answer was a solid no, but we could pay €200 for 3 hours which wasn't even enough time to cover what we wanted. There was no courtesty room option either for even 30 mins. They did however say we could use the showers in the spa area. Again I appreciate this isn't a given but high end hotels have always bent over backwards in this situation before in my experience. We did ask again (another lady) who was more helpful and offered an extension for an hour, so seems like the approach is a bit inconsistent based on who you ask.

The pool towels aren't easy to get changed, as you need to leave your old ones in the bath but the cleaning service generally came to ours around lunchtime. So again you had to seek out someone and ask to get them changed.

If you manage to get this for a reasonable price compared to other 5 star hotels then it's a nice hotel but we paid a premium and feel it fell short of our expectations. I would say this is a nice 4 star hotel.

The best holiday I ever been on. Everything was magical the stay the suite private pool and garden. The staff are exceptional always treat you to something different every day from fresh fruit water to chocolates in the evening. Can't wait to come back again.

Let me start by saying the staff are very good and do their very best. This hotel is just an upgraded room in the Rhodes bay hotel. The Rhodes bay is an all inclusive half the price of the Elite Suites. There is no sun all day on the suites so totally useless. This may be different in the summer months. There is no area that is exclusive to the elite suites. You are just using the Rhodes Bay hotel. They say you can use the spa pool, which is soul less with no drinks service. Drinks round the pool, when you get one are served in plastic cups (kids party style) and you are charged 8 euros when the person next to you is all inclusive! I am staying here now and this is not what we booked or paid for, if I wanted to stay at Rhodes bay I would have paid half the price and been all inclusive. Please if looking to book this, look at the IKOS resorts. They are a similar price at this time of year and on another level. This is a complete rip off.

We have been going to Rhodes May Elite suites since 2016. We have tried other venues but always return. So relaxing - tasty food, friendly staff and top rate accommodation. Stayed for 10 days in May 24 and decided to add a short break of 5 days in September.

This is the third time we’ve been to the Elite Suites, we had a sea view room with a private pool, being September the sun didn’t reach the patio area but the pool was bathed in sunshine throughout the day. After breakfast each day we went to the main pool and although we were there quite early each morning, some towels had already been placed so the advice is if you want the best positions set up early if you want the main pool however beds were always available. The food was excellent, we went HB so breakfast and dinner were our options. Entertainment in the evening was a bit bland with the exception of “The 3 tenors” a trio of South African singers who were excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and the room cleanliness each day was spotless. This is an excellent hotel, I’m sure we will be back - thoroughly recommended.

We recently stayed at Elite Suites Rhodes for our wedding anniversary, and it was truly a perfect experience. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and the private pool with a sea view was a real highlight. Every day, we were treated to little surprises—fresh treats delivered to our room, and on the evening of our anniversary, the staff surprised us with a stunning sweet presentation that made the occasion even more special. The facilities are amazing, but what really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed. We even received a thoughtful departing gift, a small gesture that made us feel like valued guests until the very end. If you're looking for luxury with personal touches and outstanding service, this is the place. We can’t wait to return! !

We were three nights at the elite suits hotel in Rhodes.
The well-being, the service, the amazing attitude and the pleasantness of the place cannot be described.

Thank you very much for everything!!!
