We had a truly memorable holiday, and this hotel offered excellent value for the price. We were consistently pleased with the facilities

We came back to Akti Imperial for our parents’ 40th anniversary and the hotel helped make it unforgettable. They upgraded us to a family suite with a sea terrace so we could enjoy sunrises together

The chef Aris prepared a surprise Greek mezze plate for our family dinner. Kids loved the miniclub and the pool games kept everyone smiling. Staff felt like old friends by day three

The food was a real highlight, featuring a wide variety that catered to everyone's tastes; the delicious pizza and gyros at the pool restaurants were a definite plus

The team's hard work was evident in the fantastic evening shows, and we also enjoyed the well-organized daily activities like Pilates, yoga, and pool aerobics

Reception arranged a late taxi and a baby cot without fuss. Left feeling relaxed and grateful

The hotel is nicely situated with a good few bars, restaurants, shops nearby, & within walking distance

We enjoyed our stay here, I am going to summarise the good and not so good parts Good ️Rooms are spacious and cleaned frequently Pool is big ️The walk to Rhodes old town straight along the beach is picturesque Big balcony Indifferent ️ Not great beach

Pebbly, the walk through the tunnel is smelly. The beach on this side of the island are not as good as the other side. Bar wouldn't serve us a drink until 5

Absolute amazing staying at Sol by Melia Cosmopolitan Rhodes!!! The hotel is brilliant, the staff are amazing, the food and drinks top notch! George the manager has done it best to welcome us to this lovely hotel ! Thank you George and your amazing staff!

The atmosphere at the hotel is lively but relaxed, perfect for both families and couples. Special praise to the entertainment team led by Leslie, who provided plenty of fun and energy throughout the day and evening

They only had two staff on at the pool bar but the ques went down quickly. Reception staff are very good and helpful they helped booked taxi to airport. but the main mention has to go to the daytime animation crew

They made such a great effort to get everyone involved in all the activities. Ethan was brilliant and had a great laugh. Pros Great food so many different themed evenings. The Asian and Italian were great experience

The water park was brilliant except the spinning slide. That managed to burn and bruise my arm off it. Rooms nice and clean, wasn't quite the same as photo but was nice. The hotel is bigger than I thought

Some foods weren't replenish, and last few days their was mainly ouzo in all the drinks. Lots of cats and people feeding them in the restaurant wasn't ideal and the staff did not do much to remove them

We have just got back from nearly 2 weeks at this hotel. The first few days were quiet but it got busier during the half term. I think the place coped well with it being busy

Rooms are a perfect size, bathroom has everything you needed as it has good quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash and lotion all included and the shower is excellent

The location is brilliant, next to the coastline and such warm weather. The staff are absolutely amazing throughout the whole resort, and the spa is excellent, so soothing and calming, do recommend it here

to be fair we found the buffet very good with a wide variety of choice (we only had one afternoon where we weren’t 100% satisfied) We stayed All inclusive option mainly because we took our little boy

Pools and pool bars and all pool staff👌🏻👌🏻 What they don’t tell you when you’re booking the holiday is if you’re not staying for more than seven days you can’t book any of the other restaurants so its buffet only

Proper coffee making facilities in the room and a fridge (extra to get anything in it though and a little over priced. Beds are very comfy and a choice of pillows

The hotel is lovely with excellent staff. Breakfast was really good with so much choice. Great Margaritas at the pool bar and the main bar. Good food in the restaurants

My Delux King room with Balcony faced the pool and sea and was excellent

g an allergy card to put on the table so you don’t end up having to constantly re explain. In the end, we ate out in Rhodes as restaurants provided a much less complex experience

I am dairy intolerant and whilst the buffet was clearly labelled, the labelling used 2 different systems and it was time consuming and stressful to find options I could eat

It's not in an area where there are lots of restaurants around. Those you can walk to were a Chinese, Indian and Korean BBQ. A few others in the other direction

All Inclusive hotel with very nice pool area, close to everywhere, the beach, the airport and Rhodes town. Close to the hotel is a lot of gift shops and a good, cheap car rental (Sky Rent a Car)

Some rooms are a bit outdated. The buffet restaurant (Dionyssos) has very good rotating menu

While the location was great, the room itself was dated. The mattress was in need of replacement, and the shower could use a thorough deep clean. Additionally, we encountered some pesky mosquitoes

We especially enjoyed the Greek yoghurt dips and the dessert section, which included delicious ice cream; we indulged in them every day! We stayed in room 105, situated in the first block

Breakfast was standard—similar to what you'd find in many hotels—but I would have loved to see more local fruits included. However, lunch and dinner were exceptional

If the pool feels too loud or crowded, you can simply step onto the beach, which is conveniently located next to it. The food overall was a highlight

For Turkish bath with luxurious details of scrubbing and relaxing bubbles, Follow by relaxation massage with care and follow up with Cleopatra facial that you are feeling greatest ever

Nice quiet location, reception staff are absolutely brilliant, so helpful and listen to everything you asked them

We love where the Hotel is positioned as it's easy to walk into lalysos and just a short taxi ride to town. The beach opposite is really good with toilets and a great beach cafe

Me and my wife to be absolutely love this place. Staff were very friendly, room was lovely, Pool was sensational Jeff. Food and drink were good value

Great big hotel, lovely large pools, staff are so friendly and helpful, staff are lovely people, Thomas a waiter is lovely such a kind, polite, friendly young man, food was very good and great price, not expensive

Unfortunately the evening entertainment is very quiet and lacking atmosphere unlike the first time we stayed here, (it really used to buzz) there is no Karaoke now and we have noticed the bar is less busy, when the acts are on you can hardly hear them and it just sounds like background music which doesn't seem to draw the guests the way it used to

First Impressions & Location The hotel is in a good spot — right by the coast and just off the main high street, so shops, restaurants, and bus stops are all within easy walking distance

Staff & Service Reception staff could be a little frosty at times, but to be fair, they were helpful whenever we needed something. Everyone else around the hotel was lovely — cheerful, chatty, and always ready to help

The beach is a mix of pebbles and shingle and shelves steeply into the sea, so beach shoes are a good idea. Surfboards and bodyboards are available to hire from local vendors

The lifeguard was very friendly and there were inflatables and balls for the children to play with. The evening meals were good but unfortunately one aspect let it down

Honest Review: Blue Horizon Hotel, Ialysos, Rhodes (October 2025) My husband and I have just returned from a two-week stay at the Blue Horizon Hotel in Ialysos (mid-October 2025)

It’s a big place with a mix of rooms in the main building and bungalow-style accommodation in the gardens. Families with children are definitely made welcome here

The dining options are excellent, with a main restaurant, a Greek restaurant, and an Italian one. There are also several bars and a small shop on-site — the infrastructure is really well thought out

This is our second time back to this hotel ,staff and food was amazing , the manager jhon marc was great such a amazimg and lovely guy ,very helpfull ,thankyou very much electra we will be back

Pool had sunbeds that are plentiful, drinks at poolside can be ordered via QR code. The Spritzville cafe has good range of snacks, iced coffee and alcoholic spritz

We hired a car so we could explore the island but there is the option of shuttle bus that runs to old town. The local town Ialyssos has plenty of shops and restaurants which is a 15 minute walk from hotel

Every aspect of this all-inclusive hotel exceeded expectations, but the outstanding service and heartfelt care from the staff truly made my stay unforgettable

Hotel as it self is in good location. Every single night different meals. For teens, not a lot to do in a hotel. No space for football games, had to play by the food shack when it's closed

Staff, well they need to get more discipline how to interact with customers. Car rental Alco giving you a really good prices to rent a car, and you don't have to go anywhere

Entertainment has been good every night and kids are catered for but I think personally 9pm for the kids entertainment to start is a bit late. Overall it's been a relaxing, enjoyable break away

Brilliant holiday for the last week of the season the entertainment staff were brilliant with a big shout out for Ida who was always smiling and making sure we all had a great time!! We made some great friends too which was a bonus! The bar staff were fast and made us feel welcome with a great selection of all inclusive cocktails

I will start off by praising Maria (waitress) and Carlos(waiter) These two I observed and they were the best out of any of the waiters or waitresses they was both very attentive and kind and always had a smile on their face

Staff were very lovely, they communicated very well with people and supported them. The rooms were delightful and very nice, very comfy beds. The twin bed was slightly annoying but the room overall was excellent

We’re here with family and all the rooms are nice, good views. The whole hotel is very clean, they have an excellent housekeeping team who deserve praise

Instead of going to the swimming pool, I recommend going to the beach for the whole day - the best one is 30 m from the hotel (next to the Rhodes Palace hotel - an underground passage right next to the Rhodes Palace sign)

This is a honest review, just got back from a lovely holiday to Rhodes , Rhodes Town & especially the old Town were beautiful highly recommend to go there, Lindos & Symi a definite choice to go too, stunning places , THE HOTEL this is not a 4 ⭐️in my opinion, very tired looking , needs new sun beds as the ones were very old , The rooms were ok we just had the standard ones little small but functional...

We haven’t eaten dinner in the hotel much, but when we have the food has been nice, not a massive selection but overall decent quality. The breakfast is a good selection and can’t fault the offering

Unfortunately there is a strong smell of sewage up by the pool area & outside the hotel, this is coming from the sewage outlet across the road !!!!!!!!! Stinks wouldn’t go in the see because of this , beach not good full of rocks & stones , the busses are every 20mins & only 10 minutes to Rhodes town/ old town so handy to get about, would possibly go back but certainly a different location & hotel

The alcoholic beverages, particularly the beer, were unpalatable, and most of the carbonated soft drinks were flat. While the food was of good quality, the dining experience felt comparable to a factory canteen

Plenty of room looked modern and the beds were really comfy. The facilities we good the snake bar and greek/Italian resturant were nice. The food in the main resturant was nice but felt a little repative

A great hotel, with good rooms and facilities. We went in october and the pool was a little cold however the sea wasnt to bad. We booked a supior family room with sea view and it was great

The animation team work really hard, Tibi and Boogy were really good with all the people staying g gettign them involved with activities if they wanted too

The night time entertainment was decent, enough to keep you amused and in the hotel. If youw wanted to step outside the hotel there were plenty of bars and resturants a few minutes walk away

We arrived after 11pm and still managed to get a snack and drink before bed. Location- Situated on a quiet area but still shops, bars, restaurants and a few supermarkets within walking distance

We stayed in a standard family room which I feel was slightly dated however, clean and I think we got a bargain for the price we paid! Beds were very comfortable. One thing I would say is the walls are very thin

The kids pools are good but also the same problem just too small for the sheer size of the hotel and amount of guests wanting use of them

This was my first experience of an all-inclusive hotel with my two children and it did not disappoint. The children loved the huge variety of food in the restaurant and visited the snack bar daily

Alex in the dining area is so lovely, and the gentleman serving the drinks in the evening outside near the stage is also wonderful! Overall a lovely week, thanks to Atlantica Princess!

In regards to the bedroom, it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was powerful and there was always plenty of hot water

Fantastic staff especially the waiting staff they were the amazing especially the man that served us during the night I apologise can’t remember his name but he knew our drink and kept bringing them over can’t recommend this hotel enough I would definitely go back again

Meals were great inside or outside plenty of choice and fresh. Love how attentive the staff were towards guests dietary needs. The night entertainment was good for the kids disco and later for older people

Convenient location, really friendly atmosphere, rooms a little basic but clean, good value, staff were really friendly and helpful.

I really liked that we had a mosquito net on the door as I am always eaten alive on my holidays. not seen this in any other hotel across Greece. So, I was very pleased with that

The beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious. The location of the hotel is perfect too, close to the hustle and bustle, but far enough away to have a quiet nights sleep. All the staff were super helpful and lovely

We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights and we couldn't fault it one bit. We stayed in a standard room for the first 5 nights and a bliss jacuzzi room for the other 5 nights

The rooms are nice and clean and the girls who clean the room are good also to add a very nice bar near reception good for the late night drink

A 7 day stay in this nice quiet hotel,, no kids when we were there :). Staff were very accomodating ( excellent Negronis Kevin !). Nice vine covered courtyard, but beware of the mossies if sitting outside in the evening

We saw cats in the hotel every single day :)) The staff are so kind and accommodating too, will definitely try and visit here again next year. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Ixia

Stayed here recently just for a week and found it to be a lovely hotel. We never got bored of the food as their was always plenty of choice

We were so lucky and got upgraded from a balcony/terrace room to the room with the swimming pool in front of it (pools open from 8am-6

We were pleasantly surprised by this after a long day of travelling, and it was just a lovely gift from the staff for our anniversary/birthday. All the food and drinks are amazing

The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they are absolutely fantastic, always helpful and friendly - especially Anita in the restaurant. Also really enjoyed the entertainment and dancing

Must mention the friendly comedy bird (crow?) who comes and hangs out in the sun lounger garden area behind the main pool and plays games like trying to steal your key card! What a character!

There's an outdoor dining room, shaded for comfort, next to the snack bar that does hot and cold food and drinks. Beers were about €5 soft drinks €2. Good ranged from a burger for €5 to a full meal for €16

As non residents i can't say anything about the rooms only that they looked good from outside. We spent all day everyday by the pool, on the sunbeds but we ate and drank here and it made our holiday

Friendly helpful staff, good food and drink and a quiet hotel without any noisy entertainment. However, there are places within walking distance if you want to swing your pants.

I felt it was good value for the facilities we were using. Thank you for making our stay wonderful

The rooms are OK, large with good TV, and AC . The sunbeds and umbrella are free ok charge. The only issue is with the free Wifi, that is very poor quality, and not have the possibility to pay for a better one.

Facilities like changing rooms and toilets were clean, the pool was perfect and the food and drink were amazing. Staff were polite , courteous and friendly and it seemed to be a family run hotel

We had a lovely time at matoula beach. our second holiday here and was as good as the first one

We stayed at Matoula Beach for a week in early October. Initially we were allocated a very small room. When we mentioned this to reception, we were transferred to a lovely spacious pool view room

The hotel had a pleasant relaxed atmosphere, and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. A really comfortable stay - and highly recommended

The staff at matoula are so kind and friendly and very efficient too nothing is too much trouble and the place is always so clean and welcoming We took the hotel bus to Rhodes town (good value) which is a great place lots to see and so many nice bars & restaurants Thank you everyone at Matoula for a wonderful stay

Just returned from 2 weeks at Matoula Beach and what a fantastic holiday. Staff here were so lovely and helpful. Decking around the pool and garden area

In short, everything was excellent, the food, the room and especially the staff. And the lovely Adrianna (I may have misread her name) at the mini market.

We had a holiday with my family in this hotel and it was great. Tho location is quite good and the ocean is just across the road. It was very easy ro cross the road and we did not experience any problems with that

Pannos the barman made fantastic cocktails, the choice of food was excellent and everything was well cooked and seasoned. There was no shortage of sunbeds and the layout of the hotel was excellent

Staff was very nice and kind in the hotel and during the week we stayed the food was delicious and there was so many sorts of things that you could make different type of meal every day

The bartender, older man was so nice and had good sense of humor. Also during the evenings they had a bar inside and the bartender there was also great dude. Room was pretty simple and had i guess everything we needed

For a 4☆ I would say its okay. Friendly staff, service good. Beds need to be a bit more comfortable maybe mattress toppers. Cocktails not consistent.

After breakfast each day we went to the main pool and although we were there quite early each morning, some towels had already been placed so the advice is if you want the best positions set up early if you want the main pool however beds were always available

The food was excellent, we went HB so breakfast and dinner were our options. Entertainment in the evening was a bit bland with the exception of “The 3 tenors” a trio of South African singers who were excellent

The staff were extremely friendly and the room cleanliness each day was spotless. This is an excellent hotel, I’m sure we will be back - thoroughly recommended

We had a very good time at filmar hotel. Staff is very kind and helpful. I would recommend a room with a seaside balcony. The view is awesome!

People work there are very kinds specially Liza in the reception and the room services is very good. The breakfast is very good too.

My boyfriend particularly enjoyed the fridge as he could keep all his beer in there! The beds were comfortable and the room was cleaned everyday, although we put the “dnd” sign in the door and just opted to change the bin when needed
