Hotel Sparti in Piraeus

Awful experience, it’s like an abandoned building vibe with paint peeling, cigarette and dirt smell everywhere. He tried to charge us 65 euros to stay from 7am-3pm (our ferry was delayed and we needed to crash for a bit). Then he wanted to barter like a merchant. It was 45 euros on booking. Better to avoid, there’s plenty options around here for half the price and better quality

The rooms felt like i was planning a coup in latin America in the 70's. I was forced to stay there because there was no availability anywhere else, but honestly the building is in a very good location, is great sample of the old architecture, but is very-very abandoned. It deserves a gofundme to repair it. A big thank you to the man in the reception, is the saving grace of the hotel. very kind and honest about the problems of the accommodations.

The rooms smelled. There were also cockroaches. Brown cockroaches. The guy that works there was very friendly but feels like he couldn’t care less about all of the above. It’s a historical building and the interior of the hotel is pretty. It’s a shame it hasn’t been at least a little bit renovated so it can be livable. NO AC. It not worth 50€ per night, I’m sorry.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Booked for two nights but left only after one. The bed was springy and uncomfortable, ridden with (what I hope) were spiders. Woke up in the middle of the night with a painful spider bite. The room was a hotbox with only one broken fan and we were misled on the bathroom situation. Our room had no bathroom we had to share it with everyone else in the hotel. I swear it was like living in a 19th century tenement building. We weren't even refunded after our experience for the day we didn't stay. We were conned.
