Kalyves Beach Hotel in Kalyves

Really pleasant stay. Can't fault anything really location amazing children's disco daily. Nice rooms clean and comfortable bed. We were all inclusive but midway we upgraded to all inclusive plus as the drinks weren't great but that is pretty typical for all inclusive so no issues there. Also thanks to the staff as asked to organise some flowers etc for my wife for our anniversary and really lovely present for a reasonable price on very short notice as well.
Probably the food was the weak point it wasn't bad or anything but quite limited in choices and most meat like pork and chicken quite dry. Also the outdoor pools were really cold its nice that there is an heated pool indor but would have been nice if the outside one was heated.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk to the beach. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, with a great view of the sea from the balcony.
The staff made sure everything was perfect, from the friendly check-in to helpful local recommendations. The buffet had a great variety of tasteful choices.
It’s clear that the management really cares about guests’ comfort and experience.
I would absolutely recommend it. Can’t wait to come back!

The hotel is in a great place and is very clean. Food is more than acceptable and staff are efficient. We had a sea view and it does not get any sun due to the north facing. However in the summer that might be a blessing. The bathroom was just about adequate with a small shower and they had put in a small extra bed as we needed separate beds. If you mistime the need for coffee in the morning then the one machine they have is pretty slow. Please invest in at least one or two more. George behind the bar is very efficient and in full control. Well done to George. A trip to Chania is very worthwhile. Both outdoor pools are pretty small and cold due to being in the shade but the sea is lovely. This is a place to relax. The beer and wine and coffee etc is self service. In the evening the entertainment is good and varied. If the hotel is full it’s hard sometimes to get a good seat. We were two straight old guys chilling out and it was ideal for us. A solid 4/5.

Pretty hotel in ,Kalyves. Great party atmosphere in evenings for shows They do wine tasting. Easy to book tours with Momo Family friendly . It was pleasure to stay there. Rooms clean and comfortable. Air conditioning. Small pools but beach over small bridge is fantastic and water clear. Kostos is an excellent host on the bar . With other staff when he is not there. Loved the cocktails. Ouzo. Tequila or Rum based. Receptionists are lovely ladies as well. Very helpful Room housekeeping also lovely. Couldn't fault them. I would recommend this hotel stay to all. Thank you

I came here for one day on a charged for day pass costing 32 euros. I caught the bus from Chania.
What a TREAT! I was allowed to use the indoor and outdoor pools beteen 10 am until 6 pm. I arrived around 12 noon, just in time for lunch "EAT AND DRINK AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE" FROM AN EXTENSIVE AND EXOTIC BUFFET.
I chose the outdoor dining area overlooking a river with ducks that runs into the sea
I am a pescetarian, but mainly vegetarian. The food was HEAVENLY and the variety amazing. I had 2 huge platefuls of savoury food and lots of delicious CRETAN WINE.
I then enjoyed a variety of desserts and fresh fruit followed by a coffee by the outdoor pool area.
Later, I relaxed on one of their many lovely sofas to phone home for necessary news.A little more time to relax on the sunbeds and I was ready to leave, a very contented woman.
The staff here are extremely courteous and the hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy.
I have been left with a very good impression of this hotel and certainly would like to return at some point.
Guests need to check with the hotel if day passes are available. I took a chance because I wanted to visit Kalyves and it was late September.
There are lots of lovely beaches and places to visit in the Chania region. I am thrilled to have spent a day here.

The hotel location was amazing next to the beach and close to the airport . My room was clean, and the Wi-Fi was exceptionally fast for any tasks I needed to do with sea view.The food was so warm and tasty also the drinks from the bars very good.The staff is so friendly specially kostas lifeguard!!We will come back 100%

The hotel is literally on the beach, which made our stay even more special. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a wonderful view of the sea. The staff was kind and helpful in our every need, especially Kostas the lifeguard. The breakfast and dinner and the launch had variety and quality food.access to the beach was direct. Ideal place for rest and relaxation. We will definitely come back next August!!!

Location 10 out of 10 Food 10 out of 10 Relaxing holiday on the beach. Unfortunately it was stomach bug in the hotel and our son had it. Hotel stuff dealt with this problem as much as they could. Not much to do around the hotel. Done train trip and boat trip. We had a car so we had a trip to the lake, old town, supermarket

Just back from a relaxing and enjoyable week at Kalyves Beach and I really hope we can return some day. Such a friendly, human-sized hotel - big enough to offer everything you could want in a holiday, while offering a more personal touch. On arrival- which was late in the evening- there was an initial mix up with our room. (The room we were sent to only slept 2.) We were quickly sent to another room, which turned out to be an accidental upgrade to a sea view room - we were very happy with this and it was well worth the initial inconvenience. The view was fantastic of the sea as well as the pool/entertainment area. The room itself was fine, plenty of drawers and hanging space, bathroom was ok too. The extra bed was a little unstable and wobbly, and had to be moved slightly to open the balcony doors - so that's one thing that maybe could be looked at. The food was great and plentiful- a good balance of traditional dishes and plain food for the less adventurous. Great salads and some tasty vegetarian options. For drinks, it was convenient to be able to help yourself to some of the soft drinks and wine/beer, and the bar is really close to the beach for keeping hydrated through the day. Plenty of drinks on the all inclusive plan for us, and the bar staff were friendly and flexible. There was a nice range of evening entertainment which we really enjoyed - a shout out to the Groovitas band who played a fab and varied two hour set with no break! We also loved Magic Chris, such a slick but personable act, who went down so well with all the kids and adults. The fun family karaoke night demonstrated the wide range of nationalities staying at the hotel, which was really great to see. We were really there for the beach, and the sea, and it didn't disappoint. We always got loungers - probably as I went for a swim before breakfast each day! Some days they were all full by 8am, others there were spare ones all day. The sea was irresistible. Very calm and clear on our first few days, then rougher as the week went on, but so enjoyable to swim in both ways. Also so beautiful just to sit and watch! Momo booked us on the sunset cruise with Kalyves Cruises and this was a really special highlight of the week for us. More beautiful sea, friendly and knowledgeable crew, some local historical areas pointed out (including an amazing Venetian wall under the sea!)and a gorgeous swimming stop. The village was really lovely, with some nice shops and really scenic little lanes, and if you fancy a quick uphill trek, there are great views from the top of the hill above the harbour!
