Minoa Palace Resort in Platanias

Good overall. We stayed in an imperial room on the beach side of the hotel.

Very good facilities overall, but some of the rooms need to be updated and soundproofed.

Management is very good. Great attitude, service, and helped to solve problems. The manager also called us at the end of the day to check if everything was all right.

The one thing that was the biggest miss for us was inconsistency of service from hotel staff. Some are really great, friendly, and proactive, especially the cleaning staff. But others seemed to have an attitude and a scowl on their face when serving you.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. They have for sure the nicest staff ever. So accommodating.
Great food the breakfast buffet is so so good.
Definitely will come back and recommend highly.

The resort grounds are very beautiful! The beach area is nicely kept, from there you can see breathtaking sunrises & sunsets. There are plenty of beach chairs available, and you can have a fresh beach towel every day, if you wish. You can get served with food/beverages the entire time the beach area is "open". The food choices are amazing, a massive buffet both at breakfast & dinner, although dinner varies every evening, according to themes (Greek, Grill, Italian...). Room, bed and bedlinen were very comfortable. Our room had a nice view to the main swimming pool, with the sea in the background. We received a complimentary wine bottle at checkin. Staff is polite. There was always nice live music playing somewhere every evening.

Since not everything is perfect, towards the end of our stay, the room next door got occupied and I could hear them being intimate, so thin the walls are! The cleaning lady filled the shower gel container with water, and did not refill the lotion. The spa pool & jacuzzi waters are kept so cold, it's impossible to get in. And they should upgrade their gym, which is not compatible to a 5-star hotel (extremely old/bad equipment).

Nevertheless, we recommend the hotel, and would consider returning, since we had the relaxing time we were looking for.

Great stay at the Minoa Palace.

The hotel facilities are great and never felt over crowded, although the hotel was fully booked.
The swimming pools and the beach are perfect.
Spa is really nice, a bit expensive.
Restaurants are overall good.
Service is friendly and professional.

Few axes of improvement:
- Room cleaning can be better (the dishes brought in the room should be removed, cocktails for exemples)
- No allergens indications at the restaurants!! This is actually a very important point of improvement. The hotel makes you sign 2 or 3 formulas upon arrival but then, you’re at your own risk at the restaurants.

Overall, very nice holidays with a good price ratio for a 5 stars hotel.

We had a wonderful time at Minoa, with staff that was helpful and friendly and facilities that made our stay a treat!

Their beach area was neat and tidy, and complimentary sunbeds. We also used the tennis court and also had a coaching session which we very much enjoyed!

The breakfast was nice with Greek and other foods, something there for everyone!

I can definitely recommend this place for your vacation.

- Limited hours to use the pools. Pebbles beach not good at all. Didn’t accommodate (with breakfast to go) for early check out to go to airport. Didn’t replace small shampoo & body wash mini bottles in shower.
